WEEKLY GOLD TUFF STUFF

Happy 2023 Team!

I know we were all so proud of our Multisport Gold athletes last weekend, putting on their race numbers and getting out to chase their chasing goals. Not only was it our athletes racing, it was also our committed athletes training for their upcoming events which was just as awesome to see.

Sure, some days are harder than others, some days we would rather turn the alarm off and stay in bed, some days we just don't feel it. Yet other days we bounce out of bed with zest and energy and are frothing to get into training. Regardless of how we are feeling, we are all chasing those goals we set for ourselves.

Preparing for a race doesn't just happen over night. Yes, it takes time, the longer the distance you decide to race, the longer the training prep usually is. And this training comes down to monthly, weekly, daily consistency. Without ths consistency, repeatedly done to the best of our ability, we are not going to go anywhere fast.

To run a marathon, to race an Olympic distance event, to even complete parkrun, all takes time, effort and consistency.

Over the coming weeks, take the energy from our athletes like Trin & Jezz who do so much work behind the scenes, so consistently, and their results prove this.

Sometimes rolling out of bed on the days we don't want to is best thing we can do to show ourselves that regardless of how we are feeling, dedication & consistency will always rise to the top.

Let's do This,

Alli

The Racing Buzz

In what started out as perfect marathon conditions, soon turned into a hot & windy down in Hobart for Trinny & Jezz at the Cadbury marathon. Nothing stands in the way of these 2 incredible athletes, and to see their smiles post race & their outstanding results is a true credit to all the hard work they do! Congrats to you both on your awesome races....and hopefully enjoyed some well deserved chocolates post race!

Sunday we also had Robina Triathlon, the 1st QTS race of 2023. We were represented by only a small crew for this race, but what awesome results they all had!  Sally & Mary had fantastic races in the Olympic distance, with Sharyn smashing the sprint! Our 2 males, Bangers & Doug had such strong races and both placed 3rd in their categories. What an  awesome way to kick start the year!

A huge Congrats to Alan who completed his 300th parkrun at Coomera on Saturday.

This Saturday, Jase is celebrating his 400th parkrun at Main Beach, wow, what a huge achievement. Now this is what I call commitment, dedication and consistency!! Join Jase at Main Beach to celebrate this epic milestone!
