WEEKLY GOLD TUFF STUFF

Happy FriYAY Team!

Day after day, week after week, month after month, we fill our lives with training, friends, family, life in general and make the most of living a full life! Before we know it, another year has come & gone, leaving us to wonder why does time seem to go fast as we get older? Probably because we jam pack more into our lives, leaving us with less time to just chill out & smell those roses!

I was reading a really interesting article the other night, and it really made me think about many things, and it also allowed me appreciate my long run the following day.

The article was about running a Gratitude Mile.  We have all heard of Gratitude Books, Gratitude Diaries, Gratitude motivational quotes......and it really is a practice that has proven to have positive outcomes.

So what is a Gratitude Mile I hear you ask? (LOL, or Gratitude Kilometer!) On your next run, I challenge you all to not think about your pace , the distance or even heart rate, to simply think about all the things you are grateful for at that moment & in life in general....and see how it feels for just 1 mile. The oxygen in your lungs, the shoes on your feet and the location of your run, thinking of simple gratitude's in your life can really change how you are feeling!

There truly is so many things we are all Grateful for in these crazy busy lives we live, so lets just take a Mile to appreciate life!

Let's do This,

Alli

The Racing Buzz

A HUGE shout out to Jase on his 400th parkrun last Saturday at Main Beach. Whilst this is not an official parkrun milestone, it most certainly is one which should be recognized for the dedication, commitment and passion for parkrun....which really does equate to 7.5 years of Saturdays running 5km as part of a community event! Well done Jase, we were so proud to be there so cheer you across the line!
