Happy FriYAY Team!

As the days & weeks tick over, we are in the real guts of training right now as we approaching races, which not so long ago, seemed so far away LOL!!

There is so many elements to putting together a race. Whether it be a hard & fast sprint distance, a red-lining Olympic, a 70.3, an Ironman, a parkrun or even a Trail run of any distance. All of these events require so many pieces of the puzzle to all fit together, culminating on race day.

You can be the fittest person on the start line, you could have had the best prep and you are hitting all your numbers. However....if you don't have the right mental strength, you may as well pack up & go home.

There is an incredible power in your self-talk. The words you say to yourself are either going to push you forwards or pull you back. Become your own best friend. Become your own greatest supporter. When you create the habit of talking to yourself like a winner, you wont give the discouraging and negative thoughts any power. Having self-belief and self-confidence, in any situation, will see you accomplish things you never thought possible.

Now is the time to start to truly believe in YOU.

Let's do This,

Alli

The Racing Buzz

This Sunday we have one of the most Iconic races on the calendar taking place, Mooloolaba Tri. This is a weekend filled with atmosphere, events, hype and great racing over both Saturday & Sunday. We are proudly represented by Martin, Linda, Dorz & Andre, and I know they are going to absolutely have the best weekend racing....and rehydrating! Have fun & enjoy Team!

NEXT Sunday is Kingy Tri, where once again a great representation by the Multisport Gold Crew. Yes, getting up at Stupid O'clock is never fun when we race at Kingy, however this just means we have an extra hour of burgers, beers & laughter at Kingscliff SLSC afterwards! We have a booking for 12pm :-) We are currently in the process of having a new Squad tent made up with our new sponsors, so we will NOT have our tent at this race. HOWEVER, our sister Club in NSW, Des Gooda Coaching has generously offered us space under their Tent. I have told Des we will be on our best behavior LOL LOL!!!

Entries also opened for GCM on Wednesday, make sure you use the Team Name Multisport Gold and Team Pin MSGold123 to be part of our Team over the race weekend! It is going to be interesting to see who is tackling various distances this year!

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Vol 2 # 3

Saturday 8th April 2023

Multisport Gold parkrun on Tour Vol 2 # 3 will see us return to the very picturesque course at Surfers Paradise. Many of the Crew have participated on this course, a few loops around Evandale Lake, a few crossings of the new bridge, really does make it a very scenic course to run. This is a fast course, so bring out those speedy shoes!
The Port Crew will have their long runs before being back on the start line at 7.00am, details to follow.
We will finish with a swim in the Lake, saying Hello to Mr Fishy ðŸ™‚ then a stroll over the bridge for coffee & cake!
Look forward to seeing our crew at one of our favourite parkrun venues.

2022-2023 Squad Champions Series

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

This year we’re modifying the rules around the Club Championship to more fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories below. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

Points can be earned in ALL triathlon AND run distances, so enter your favourite races and be on the start line at parkrun each week!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the website here. Simply fill in the tabs and you're on your way!

Upcoming Training Schedule

Saturday after parkrun, there will be an open water swim at Paradise Point. We will aim to get in ~8.15am, however this will be flexible. Wetsuits are optional for this swim, for those heading to Port we need to start getting in some wettie practice over the coming 8 weeks! Of course, there will be coffee post swim! (The weather is not looking favorable for Saturday, so any changes will be posted on our FaceBook page as early as possible)

This Sunday, the IM Group Ride will be rolling out from Ox Lake at 5.30am and heading for the hills again.....yes....hills certainly are our friends right now LOL. Optional to run this at the Lake or in your own area.

The 70.3 GROUP RIDE will also be rolling at 5.30am from Ox Lake. A few interesting Hill Reps on the plan should have the legs screaming & HRs up! Don't forget your run shoes as well 70.3 Team if you are planning on running around the Lake.
