Happy FriYAY Team!

So we all know the countdown is on for Port 2023, and as the clock ticks, we all get that little bit more excited and nervous. These feelings are felt not only by the athletes, but by families and our training buddies as well who see 1st hand all the hard work which has been done.

This year at Port, the Ironman TriClub Village has moved from the top of the hill just outside of town, down to the Town Green right in the middle of all the action & finish line area. This is an area in town where you can see our athletes on multiple time during the run course, the atmosphere around here is such a buzz, and is certainly the place to be as the day goes on.

This year for Multisport Gold, we are so proud to have our 2 BRAND NEW SQUAD tents securing a spot along the TriClub Village area, which for us, is going to be our key meeting & motivation point for the weekend & importantly, race day.

Having all our families, friends, supporters, athletes as they finish having somewhere to meet & carry on the frivolities well into the night is just going to add to the excitement we are all going to experience!

I would like to take this opportunity for a HUGE shout out to our very generous sponsors in Springbok Foods (Dorz) Raine & Horne Coomera (Jas & Jac) Reece (Bangers) and Trail Trips (Steve) Without your support and backing, these new tents would not be possible. I am so incredibly excited to have our squad tents  proudly on display at the Port Macquarie Ironman Australia TriClub Village for the entire Tri community to see.

Let's do This,

Alli

The Racing Buzz

A reminder to our entire Crew, Coach Alli is away from Sunday 16th to Saturday 22nd April inclusive. She is racing at the Masters National Swim Championships being held in Hobart. Over 4 days she will be racing the 800, 400, 200, 100m events. During her absence, Captain Cooke will be a the helm for all sessions. Therefore, there is NO change to the weekly program schedules.  He will be taking bribes at various sessions LOL :-)

There will be NO Weekly Tuff Stuff sent out next week ( Friday 21st) so please keep your eyes on our FaceBook page for activities for next weekend and Anzac Day on the 25th April

For anyone looking to enter the GC30 Run Festival, Multisport Gold has now been set up in the list of Clubs.

Entries also opened for GCM on Wednesday, make sure you use the Team Name Multisport Gold and Team Pin MSGold123 to be part of our Team over the race weekend! It is going to be interesting to see who is tackling various distances this year!

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Vol 2 # 3

CHANGE OF DATE to Saturday 29th April 2023

Multisport Gold parkrun on Tour Vol 2 # 3 will see us return to the very picturesque course at Surfers Paradise. Many of the Crew have participated on this course, a few loops around Evandale Lake, a few crossings of the new bridge, really does make it a very scenic course to run. This is a fast course, so bring out those speedy shoes!
The Port Crew will have their long runs before being back on the start line at 7.00am, details to follow.
We will finish with a swim in the Lake, saying Hello to Mr Fishy ðŸ™‚ then a stroll over the bridge for coffee & cake!
Look forward to seeing our crew at one of our favourite parkrun venues.
