Happy FriYAY Team!

I do love a good motivational quote, and particularly as we draw closer to Port, I will be spending time putting my mind in a really positive place so I am ready to fire mentally on race day. Not only for Port, but for any of my key races I find this works as such a positive boost for me.

I know the body has done the kms and is ready to go, but sometimes I find myself asking negative questions within my head which we I don't need to be asking! Things like Should I have done that differently? Should I have trained harder? Should I have trained faster? Did I honestly hit all my numbers? When all along I know I have put in 100% effort to each & every session, recovery process and nutritional element. So to rid my mind of any self-sabotage, I will often take the time to read over my training diary (which I keep hand written notes daily-very old school but gosh I love it!) and will take the time to re-read motivation quotes I have left myself throughout the course of my training & my prep.

I found this quote the other day, it made me smile, not for how far I have come in this Port journey, but for our entire team who have made it through the rigors of IM training and will look back on this time in their lives with such pride and happiness for all WE have achieved.

"Surround yourself with people who will push you to do and be better. No drama or negativity. Just higher goals and higher motivation. Good times and positive energy. No jealousy or hate. Simply bringing out the absolute best in each other"

Multisport Gold athletes, families and friends, Its our time to shine.

Let's do This,

Alli

The Racing Buzz

With Coach Alli & Captain Cooke both heading to Port Mac on Thursday 4th & returning Tuesday 9th May, there will be NO training sessions during these dates inclusive. Our 1st session back will be swim squad Thursday 11th May.

Coach Alli was away in Hobart last week for the Masters National Swimming Championships. Such an amazing few days of racing and enjoying the beautiful city of Hobart. Coach Alli proudly brought home 3 Silver medals in the 800-400-200m Freestyle in PB times, and placed 4th in the 100m Free, with .25/sec separating 2nd-4th places....ouch!!

Entries also opened for GCM on Wednesday, make sure you use the Team Name Multisport Gold and Team Pin MSGold123 to be part of our Team over the race weekend! It is going to be interesting to see who is tackling various distances this year!

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Vol 2 # 3

CHANGE OF DATE to Saturday 29th April 2023

Multisport Gold parkrun on Tour Vol 2 # 3 will see us return to the very picturesque course at Surfers Paradise. Many of the Crew have participated on this course, a few loops around Evandale Lake, a few crossings of the new bridge, really does make it a very scenic course to run. This is a fast course, so bring out those speedy shoes!
The Port Crew will have their long runs before being back on the start line at 7.00am, details to follow.
We will finish with a swim in the Lake, saying Hello to Mr Fishy ðŸ™‚ then a stroll over the bridge for coffee & cake!
Look forward to seeing our crew at one of our favourite parkrun venues.

2022-2023 Squad Champions Series

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

This year we’re modifying the rules around the Club Championship to more fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories below. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

Points can be earned in ALL triathlon AND run distances, so enter your favourite races and be on the start line at parkrun each week!
