Happy FriYAY Team!

Birthdays come around once a year, and usually I am one who is happy to just take this as another day, keeping it low key and uneventful!! I like to spend time with the family for a nice dinner but honestly for me, its usually just another day! However, this year was different! I turned the big 5 0 !!! Wow wow wow....how can I be 50 years old!!

I remember growing up as a kid, I'd look up to the adults in my life as they celebrated their 40th birthdays and thinking gosh, they are SO OLD!!!....and now here I am, turning 50!

A friend said to me the other day, its all down hill after you turn 50 .....everything falls apart more than it did when you turned 40 !!! Gee....thanks for that inspiring and motivating birthday comment so-called friend LOL!

However, my reply to this person was simple....to me age is just a number. I certainly do not feel 50! I actually look at turning 50 as a huge positive as I go up an age group! This now means I have more records to chase after and records to break in a whole new category. That to me, is the hugest motivation to keep setting myself goals and striving after them 50 and beyond!

So from this newly turned 50 year old.....thankyou to everyone who messaged and phoned for my birthday.....it meant so much to have so many people pass on their well wishes for this lifetime milestone. You all made my day xox

Come to think of it.....50 really is the youth of old age LOL!

Let's do This,

Alli

The Racing Buzz

Maty T. Well, all I need to say here is absolutely EPIC race in Cairns last Sunday. I know so many of us had the tracker set, and it was dinging all day!!! We watched him have yet another  stella race. Its is honestly one thing to race an Ironman well, but it is completely next level to race 2 Ironman races back to back exceptionally. Maty, we are all in awe of your race and are so proud to have you wearing the Multisport Gold kit. Enjoy your down time and relaxing by the pool, we cant wait for you get back to hear all about your race!

The Girls Out of Office Day has been locked in for Saturday 16th September. The plan is to have a run at Kirra parkrun, then head to the Ground Currumbin for a delicious breakfast, followed by some girlie fun at The Bathhouse. There has been a booking made for 7 of the girls already, please head over to the FaceBook page Events for more details & contact Coach Alli if you are keen to be added to this Girls Out of Office Day!

Entries are also open for the Sunny Coast Run Festival in August. We also have a Team set up for those heading up to race. Be sure to register under Multisport Gold.

For looking for something different on Sunday 27th August, the Brisbane to Gold Coast Ride has entries open and a solid number of the Team has entered in this ride, some will be going hard whilst others will be enjoying a Sunday ride! The plan is to regroup for lunch somewhere post ride! The Team name here again will be Multisport Gold.

Entries are now OPEN for Port Mac 2024....so who is in and for what distances? Had FOMO this year.....then don't miss out being part of the action next year!

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Vol 2 # 6

SATURDAY 19th August

With GCM & SCM done & dusted, lets go exploring with no pressure for runs pre or post parkrun.....just running for fun today.....and what a better location to do this at than Sirromet parkrun. Oh yeah I hear you say!!! This run is only 30 mins up the highway and one none of us have run before! It is a hilly out & back course with the plenty of wildlife, scenery & wallabies along the way. This course is a mix of gravel, bitumen and path so it should be one to remember! What's a parkrun....and a visit to Sirromet....without breakfast and coffee afterwards at the Cellar Door café!! . This is one On Tour not to miss!
