Happy FriYAY Team!

As the brisker mornings set in, it is the perfect weather for running, meaning it’s the time of year when the run season starts to gain momentum!

There is so many events on the run calendar to choose from, with the 1st major race being right here on home soil this weekend with the Gold Coast Marathon Festival.  There is something so electric being around the race precinct, watching the infrastructure coming to life, the finish shute for social media pics, the athletes putting in their final runs around the course, as well as the hype with the international elites arriving, the atmosphere really does build over the final few days!

This year, whilst we don’t have a huge representation, we do have athletes on start lines for all distances! The training has been done, the race plans followed and now it’s time for our running team to embrace the local running community and lap up the support and encouragement!

To those not racing, our tent will be up, all our friends and family are welcomed to congregate and cheer from here! Yes, it is a long day supporting our marathoners, but those who have been out there know how important team support is when the going gets tough, and this always happens coming past the tent with the final 10k to go in the marathon!

Let’s get out there this weekend and make all our runners feel like Rock Stars.

Let's do This,

Alli

Each year on the weekend after GCM, Multisport volunteers at Coomera parkrun, we call this our Take Over! Its always a fun morning and a way we, as a team, can give back to parkrun. The roster has been updated and posted on our Facebook Event. If there is any issues or if you would like to volunteer, please let me know.....jobs like being a Pace Maker really could make some ones day who is chasing a time or pb :-)

The Girls Out of Office Day has been locked in for Saturday 16th September. Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Vol 2 # 6

SATURDAY 19th August

With GCM & SCM done & dusted, lets go exploring with no pressure for runs pre or post parkrun.....just running for fun today.....and what a better location to do this at than Sirromet parkrun. Oh yeah I hear you say!!! This run is only 30 mins up the highway and one none of us have run before! It is a hilly out & back course with the plenty of wildlife, scenery & wallabies along the way. This course is a mix of gravel, bitumen and path so it should be one to remember! What's a parkrun....and a visit to Sirromet....without breakfast and coffee afterwards at the Cellar Door café!! . This is one On Tour not to miss!

2022-2023 Squad Champions Series

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

This year we’re modifying the rules around the Club Championship to more fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories below. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

Points can be earned in ALL triathlon AND run distances, so enter your favourite races and be on the start line at parkrun each week!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the website here. Simply fill in the tabs and you're on your way!
