Happy FriYAY Team!

This week I am going to have a huge Shout Out of THANKYOU to all the amazing Volunteers amongst us! Whether it is putting your hand up at parkrun, sporting events, fund raisers, or at the kids Saturday morning fixtures, every single volunteer out there does an amazing job within the community.

Every Saturday, at every parkrun, the volunteers roster is full with wonderful people giving up an hour or so of the time to allow the rest of us to walk, run, race over 5km courses around the community, and the world. As the Run Director says every week, without these volunteers, parkrun cant go ahead.

Volunteering isn't always about just showing up and doing a job. it is bringing a positive energy and confidence to the role being performed.....there is a level of stress involved because no one wants to the THAT timekeeper, barcode scanner or photographer who got it wrong!!! And not that it matters, but we want to represent parkrun 100% to our best effort and ensure everyone has a wonderful experience.

Sure, volunteering goes much further than just parkrun, another example is our incredible squad sponsor, Steve at Trail Trips and Events who is always on the lookout for Volunteers, and each & every event, there is incredible people signing up to help out.

So whilst we all love being on start lines, remember to put your hand up to volunteer from time to time, be amongst those wonderful people within our community who love giving back. Our volunteers make such a huge difference to the overall and ongoing success of the events we love.

Let's do This,

Alli

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Vol 2 # 6

SATURDAY 19th August

With GCM & SCM done & dusted, lets go exploring with no pressure for runs pre or post parkrun.....just running for fun today.....and what a better location to do this at than Sirromet parkrun. Oh yeah I hear you say!!! This run is only 30 mins up the highway and one none of us have run before! It is a hilly out & back course with the plenty of wildlife, scenery & wallabies along the way. This course is a mix of gravel, bitumen and path so it should be one to remember! What's a parkrun....and a visit to Sirromet....without breakfast and coffee afterwards at the Cellar Door cafĂ©!! . This is one On Tour not to miss!

2022-2023 Squad Champions Series

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

With the new 2023-2024 Triathlon season kicking off on 1st July 2023, NOW is the time to start logging in your race results. Every parkrun, every race is worth valuable points, so be in it to win and lets see how is going to be our new Club Male & Female Champions!

We have modified the points system, and make sure you know the rules, we are making the Club Championship to fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the website here. Simply fill in the tabs and you're on your way!
