Happy FriYAY Team!

Who runs the World? Girls! Who runs the World? Girls! And what a fabulous Girls Out of Office morning we had last Saturday. Now all credit where credit is due to dads & husbands out there who pull their weight around the house every so often, but lets be honest here, it is the women that keep the ship sailing isn't it! I should see all heads nodding here :-) 

The Girls had such a fabulous day together, parkrun at Kirra, a delicious breakfast, coffee & laughter which was so good for us to talk about everything and anything, and then really relaxed in our Bathhouse experience of hot spas & cold pools, all in a tranquil & picturesque setting.

These are the moments which will last a lifetime, friendships made that will always be with each of us, and a few hours to recharge & reset. 

I feel so incredibly blessed to have such an amazing group of women around me that I look up to , respect and admire in all they do each & every day as mothers, wives, athletes & people. All our paths have crossed through sport and will continue to flourish as we grow older, I have no doubt in years to come we will all still be fighting tooth & nail to finish lines! Thankyou ladies for being such a huge part of my life, I am so proud to have a small & trustworthy group of girls that I can honesty say are life-long friends. 

Lets do it again soon Girls, it really is the best day out!

The Toohey Trail run last Sunday certainly was an awesome event & one which certainly was challenging! The course was a mix of trails & road, steep climbs and knarly descents, but so much fun out there! A huge congrats to Maty T as he makes his return to running with a stella performance and a really solid run over the terrain. Coach Alli came home with a win in the Female Masters category! Definitely lock this one in for 2024! 

A shout out to all our Multisport Gold Crew heading up to race at Raby Bay on Sunday! Young Kaelan, Old mate Doug (LOL) Dorz, Sammie, Andre. First short race of the season is always the best one to blow out some cobwebs! Have fun Team! 

Entries are now OPEN for Port Mac 2024....so who is in and for what distances? Had FOMO this year.....then don't miss out being part of the action next year!

SATURDAY 23rd September

Sunny Coast 70.3 is finished, so time to have some fun again on our Saturday mornings at parkrun! So, with winter over & the temps should be above freezing, lets venture up the Mountain to Tambo! This is a course which has it all, a mix of gravel, grass, trails and concrete, but is always such a great challenge over this terrain! Don't be late as Tamborine Mtn starts at 7.00am sharp! (We will arrive earlier for a warm up jog, details to follow on FB)

In true Multisport Gold style, there will be coffee and breakfast afterwards....I think I can smell the coffee already! 

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

With the new 2023-2024 Triathlon season kicking off on 1st July 2023, NOW is the time to start logging in your race results. Every parkrun, every race is worth valuable points, so be in it to win and lets see how is going to be our new Club Male & Female Champions!

We have modified the points system, and make sure you know the rules, we are making the Club Championship to fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the website here. Simply fill in the tabs and you're on your way! 

Sunday Rides will be rolling our from Ox Lake as usual at 6.00am. The Has Beens & Dougies D D's (without Dougie!) will be riding for coffee & some hills for added enjoyment LOL!!! Coach Alli will be back on 2 wheels this week! 

Swim Squad is on Tuesday & Thursday at Coomera Anglican College Aquatic Centre. Please arrive by 5.20am so we can go through the boards & be in the water at 5.30am. 

Tuesday Track is on at Griffith Uni Track, meeting at the Grandstand for a 5.30pm start for warm up & drills with the Main Set kicking off around 6.00pm. Passes are $4 fee paid at the Uni Pool Entrance.

Thursday Hills is NOT on again 28th September due to low numbers of participation.  

FriYAY KOFFEE KMs Departing Highland Reserve Roundabout at 5.15am, the M&L  Roundabout 5.20am and then Ox Lake at 5.30am. Destination is Driftwood at Paradise Point.
