Happy FriYAY Team!

We really are like Family. And I know I must sound like a broken record, but this last week has been a true reflection of this.

Sadly last Friday, one of our past Athletes Athlete past winners, an Ironman in training for Port, and all round good guy, Matty B, came off this bike. Matty came off 2nd best again a car and was rushed to hospital. He has suffered a broken scapula and chipped collarbone, a few cuts & scratches, but he is alive. The support from our Family for Matty as word got out, is nothing short of magnificent. When one of us is down, we all rally together and do what we can in support, help and encouragement.

Then on Saturday, we all came together in Celebration for Alans completion of the Run Down Under Challenge. After parkrun, a group from MSGold, ran 2 laps of the lake in support for this epic milestone. To see us all laughing, cheering and embracing his achievement really did make his finish line experience something he will always remember.

So as families do, through thick & thin, through good & bad, we are there for each other. To feel sadness, to feel joy, to experience this journey together.

Thankyou to all our Family for everything you do for each other.

Find your Fire,

Alli

The Racing Buzz

A big weekend of racing coming up! Starting with Saturday!!

Noosa Ultra Trail Festival is well represented this year over all distances. In the 100km, we have our Trail Goat, Erin making her return to racing, and what a race to come back to! Erin has put is so much hard work, so to her & her support Team, have the best time and strong legs at 80km!! In the 50km we also have Alan & Justin L, and the 25km we have Lisa E-B & Susie L. This event is so spectacular and plenty of elevations!

Saturday we also have Coach Alli & Trace attending the River City Swim Meet in Brisbane. The girls have joined a new club and super excited to be on the blocks in individual and relay events.

Sunday over the border is Kingy Tri. This is always such an awesome community event and it will be exciting to see the racing on Sunday. We will represented by Jase G, Mitch & his daughter Jess, Damon, as well as Alf.

And, last but certainly not least! Kath makes her way out to Gundawindi for Hell of the West. Kath has been training the house down, yes, even in the pool!! Hell of the West is one of the toughest races on the calander, and with Kath being such a gutsy athlete, we know she is going to kick butt out there! Go hard Kath! Joining Kath on the start line is Marion & Phillip who are fresh off podiums at Mooloolaba! Go Team

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Vol 3 # 3

SATURDAY 13th April 2024  - Gainsborough Greens

We have travelled all over the local countryside with our parkrun on Tour adventures, and shared so much fun together, now its time to revisit Gainsborough Greens, our parkrun neighbours just over the highway!

Most of us have run this course so know its flat, fast & a great course to target a PB! And, within the local area meaning the IM Crew can get in their extra kms!!!

In true Multisport Gold style, having our squad colours on course will be another great parkrun on Tour to remember!

There is a number of choices we have locally for post run breakfast & coffee, so lets do this team!

2022-2023 Squad Champions Series

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

With the new 2023-2024 Triathlon season kicking off on 1st July 2023, NOW is the time to start logging in your race results. Every parkrun, every race is worth valuable points, so be in it to win and lets see how is going to be our new Club Male & Female Champions!

We have modified the points system, and make sure you know the rules, we are making the Club Championship to fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the website here. Simply fill in the tabs and you're on your way!
