Happy FriYAY Team!

Hip Hip Hooray! Its time to celebrate a very special birthday! Tomorrow is parkrun Australia's 13th birthday! Wow, 13 years of parkrun. This all started back in 2011 at Main Beach when a small group of people began running from the southern end of the Main Beach footpath! As the numbers grew and created some havoc along the foreshore, the start & finish were moved to its current location. There is currently 487 parkrun locations within Australia with new locations opening all the time!

Multisport Gold are such huge supporters of parkrun, it has become our Saturday morning ritual to be on a start line at 7.00am.

We have 1 member who has almost reached 500 parkruns, a number who are close to 500, members achieving 450, and then we also have some who are hitting 100 as they also become hooked on this amazing community event.

Of course, we also have those members who volunteer and are hitting some awesome figures here as well.

parkrun has changed peoples lives in terms of things like weight loss for their health, mental health, social application, a feeling of belonging, and of course those who are competitive, an opportunity to 'race' each others (Am I allowed to say that??!!)

We also recognize Renee & Jenni who are incredible in their roles within the parkrun organization and all they continue to do to ensure parkrun remains safe and enjoyable for the entire community, country & region.

I am so blessed I found Coomera parkrun all those years ago, and know I have made lifelong friends.

Thankyou parkrun for all you have done and will continue to do for us as individuals as well as a community.

Time for some cake and to celebrate a very Happy 13th birthday!

2022-2023 Squad Champions Series

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

With the new 2023-2024 Triathlon season kicking off on 1st July 2023, NOW is the time to start logging in your race results. Every parkrun, every race is worth valuable points, so be in it to win and lets see how is going to be our new Club Male & Female Champions!

We have modified the points system, and make sure you know the rules, we are making the Club Championship to fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the website here. Simply fill in the tabs and you're on your way!
