Happy FriYAY Team!

As the brisker mornings set in, it is the perfect weather for running, meaning it’s the time of year when the run season starts to gain momentum!

There is so many events on the run calendar to choose from, with the 1st major race being right here on home soil next weekend with the Gold Coast Marathon Festival.  There is something so motivating in the week leading into this major international event. Watching the race precinct and the infrastructure coming to life,  the athletes putting in their final runs around the course, as well as the hype with the international elites arriving, the atmosphere really does build over the final week !

The training has been done so now enjoy the taper, embrace having life returning to the tired legs and really embrace the local running community, lap up the support and encouragement!

To those not racing, our tent will be up on Friday, hopefully in our regular spot, so all our friends and family are welcomed to congregate and cheer from here! Yes, it is a long day supporting our marathoners, but those who have been out there know how important team support is when the going gets tough, and this always happens coming past the tent with the final 10k to go in the marathon!

Let’s get out there next weekend and make all our runners feel like Rock Stars.

Find your Fire,

Alli

## POOL ENTRY INCREASE ##

We have been using the Coomera Anglican Aquatic Centre pool for over 12 years now, we were the 1st squad to use the pool when it opened, and have been so lucky to have had our Tues & Thurs mornings for all these years. During this time, there has only been 1 increase in pool entry fee.

As of Monday 1st July, the pool entry fee will be increasing to $6.50 per visit. The entry process will also change as of Tuesday 2nd July whereby entry is now to be paid AS YOU WALK THROUGH THE GATE. NO PAYMENT, NO ENTRY. Tash will be at the pool entrance to process this entry. NO CASH accepted, payment must be via EFT.

There are some athletes who have paid up front for their pool entry, I will speak to these people individually. If you have any issues with the new Pool Entry process, please speak to Tash direct.

As we are streamlining the pool entry process, I will also be streamlining the Casual Session payment process where athletes will pay via CREDIT CARD OR CASH AT EACH SESSION if athletes are NOT CURRENTLY on a training program. Once again, there are some athletes who have paid up front, and I will speak to these people individually.

If you have any issues with the payment for swim squad casual fees, please speak to either Coach Alli OR Captain Cooke.

Over the years, it has become bit of a tradition for the Group to come together for dinner on Sunday evening after we have completed our runs from GCM. This year, we are changing the venue, however there will still be beers & cheers, pizza & pasta for us all to enjoy....so even if your not racing, mark this one as a must to come along to! There has been an Event set up on our Facebook Page for the 7th July at Vapiano Coomera Westfield at 5.30pm

Get your entries in for Bris to GC ride....our team name is MSGold Crew. Don't forget to book your train faire

Have a think about adding some of these events to your calendar  : Flirt with Dirt, Wellcamp Duathlon, Dream World Fun Run just to name a few!!!
