Happy FriYAY Team!

Yes, lets admit it, we are all slightly more tired this week this week as we stay up later // get up earlier to watch the Paris Olympics. But honestly, what's a few hours of sleep deprivation hey!!!

I have been in absolute awe with some of the performances from the best athletes in the world. I think of all the training hours, the selection process, the commitment and the stress placed upon them, regardless if your a seasoned athlete like Eddie Ockendon  or a newbie like our skateboarding baby Chloe Covell.

I have watched some incredible performances, I have also seen some athletes totally shattered by results. This is sport, and anything can happen out there. Sport does not discriminate, sport can be cruel and sport can be a lifetime pinnacle.

2 performance highlights for me have been watching the record breaking Jess Fox light up the stage for 2 Gold medals. The 2nd highlight,  of course, has to be the finish of the mens triathlon on Wednesday evening. What a perfectly planned and executed finish by Alex Yee. That's how you win gold medals!

There is 1 image which will always stick in my mind from the Olympics, and that is the photo at the finish line of the Men's triathlon of Wilde embracing Yee, both collapsed to the ground. This is true class, the heartbreak Wilde must've felt at that point in time, yet he congratulated his fellow competitor.

Sportsmanship, respect and comraderies is what sport is all about. This photo represents so much more than 2 athletes together.  No matter what age. No matter what level.  Sport brings people together.

Alli

2024-2025 Squad Champions Series

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

With the new 2024-2025 Triathlon season kicking off on 1st July 2024, NOW is the time to start logging in your race results. Every parkrun, every race is worth valuable points, so be in it to win and lets see how is going to be our new Club Male & Female Champions!

We have modified the points system, so make sure you know the rules and you MUST be wearing your Multisport Gold kit! We are making the Club Championship to fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the website, simply fill in the tabs and you're on your way!
