Happy FriYAY Team!

Volunteering. We all have good intentions of someday giving up our precious time and volunteering don't we! We all feel good once we have given our time at parkrun a couple of times a year (and if you havent, then you should be!) We do a course check, the 1st timers briefing, scanning or barcodes.....every contribution of time time helps so much.

We all know events, not matter what the size, can not go ahead without our amazing Volunteers.

This weekend, yes, for the 1st time, I am spending my Saturday out on course for Coastal High volunteering. Multisport Gold is manning one of the checkpoints out at Numinbah, we have a selections of locations and roles, from aid station control to creek crossing assistance, whilst I have a Co-ordination role for our stations and looking after the wellbeing of our Multisport Gold Vollies.

Whilst I am really excited about this Saturday and being on the other side of racing, I wish that I had spent more time giving back to these massive, logistical events well before now.

I was absolutely blown away by the amount of co-ordination required to get one of these Ultra races off the ground. The man power which is necessary in not only the smooth running of an event this size, but also course checks & marking, distribution of supplies, allocations of the vollies, asl well an ensuring the  enjoyment of athletes and most importantly, the safety required to get them from their start to finish.

An absolute Kudos to Steve Jackson & his team, to our very own Sharyn, who I affectionately call Boss lady for the incredible work she does as Steve's right hand lady.

I see now why so many people love to give back to their favourite events, I know I am going to be so proud to be part of the Multiport Gold team wearing the Trail Trips kit on Saturday.

Our On Tour for the month of September will see us chasing the Letter J in our Alphabet, so over the mountain we go to Jeune, out Beaudesert way! This course is entirely on trails (or grass paddocks!) and is 2 laps! Lets make this another adventure out for our crew, somewhere different and fun, and of course, we will search out the best local cafe for breakkie and coffee afterwards

2024-2025 Squad Champions Series

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

With the new 2024-2025 Triathlon season kicking off on 1st July 2024, NOW is the time to start logging in your race results. Every parkrun, every race is worth valuable points, so be in it to win and lets see how is going to be our new Club Male & Female Champions!

We have modified the points system, so make sure you know the rules and you MUST be wearing your Multisport Gold kit! We are making the Club Championship to fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the website, simply fill in the tabs and you're on your way!
