Happy FriYAY Team!

As we start the triathlon season, there is one amazing group of volunteers we should be really grateful to have at all our races. Without this group of people, our races would be unsafe, unfair and open slather for everyone to do what they like out there on the course. 

All too often we think of our Technical Officials as the Bad Cops, the ones who pull us up for penalties or infractions. They are often the officials we take out our frustrations with and all too often they are on the receiving end of angry athletes who think they have been hard done by.

Technical Officials are actually there for every single athlete to enhance their race experience. To make it safe by checking helmets, fair for all with mount & dismount lines, they will only issue drafting penalties if you are deemed to be cheating and having an unfair advantage.

The TOs are there when you check your bikes in, they are there when transition opens, they are there voluntarily and they are there to answer any questions or issues you may have. More often than not, they are actually triathletes giving back to the sport they love. 

So the next event you are at and you see the TOs, take the time to say Thankyou, to give them a smile and I guarantee you will really make their day.   Without them, the race is not a fair & equal playing field for all.

With near perfect conditions, Moreton Bay last Sunday was another awesome event to be part of for the MSGold Crew. Whilst we may have been small in numbers, we were huge on team spirit and camaraderie. 

Friday this week we have young Maddy T at State 3000m track up at QSAC. We know she is going to put in her best effort and enjoy this experience.

Then Sunday we have Kaelan at the All School Trials at Kawana. After a few weeks of setbacks, we know The K-Man is going to make us so proud and put in this best effort as well. Believe in YOU K-Man, and know we are all behind you! 

Brisbane to Gold Coast ride is on this Sunday with awesome representation from the Crew again this year. For those with train tickets, there will be information on our FB page either Fri PM or Sat about the train we will be catching up to Brisbane. 

Northern Rivers Rail Trail Weekend.....lock in 19-20th October for some squad fun out along the NRRT route. We will be launching both days from Murwillumbah. There is options to run / ride the whole way / part way for one or both days, or a relaxing walk to the Gallery. Accom available at the Imperial Hotel for those keen on doing both days. This is shaping up to be such a fun weekend away 

The Recc Run the World Squad Run is back for 2025, and entries are NOW Open. There has been such great enthusiasm for this event again this year, and we have 5 full teams ready to have a blast out there! Check out the FB page for further details. 

Multisport Gold Christmas Party and Awards have been locked in for Sunday 10th November.  We are planning for an 9.30am arrival for a 10am kick off.......well I should say.....Bowl Off....yeap...we are heading to Gods Country (Insert rolling eyes emoji here!!!) for Barefoot Bowls at Paradise Point Bowls Club.  All the details for the Event of the Year are on our Facebook Page Events later on today.  OMG.....who is excited already !!!

NEW DATE TBA for those Chasing the Letter J

Our On Tour for the month of September will see us chasing the Letter J in our Alphabet, so over the mountain we go to Jeune, out Beaudesert way! This course is entirely on trails (or grass paddocks!) and is 2 laps! Hopefully there wont be any rain in the days leading up to this date, otherwise we will be having fun through mud & puddles LOL!!! 

Lets make this another adventure out for our crew, somewhere different and fun, and of course, we will search out the best local cafe for breakkie and coffee afterwards

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

With the new 2024-2025 Triathlon season kicking off on 1st July 2024, NOW is the time to start logging in your race results. Every parkrun, every race is worth valuable points, so be in it to win and lets see how is going to be our new Club Male & Female Champions!

We have modified the points system, so make sure you know the rules and you MUST be wearing your Multisport Gold kit! We are making the Club Championship to fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the website, simply fill in the tabs and you're on your way! 

There will be NO Sunday Cruiser or Party Train rolling out this week due to the B2GC Ride.

The NOOSA Crew is still ON, so meet at 5.30am. Please know the details of your ride as Coach Alli NOR Captain Cooke will NOT be at the start of this ride. Once again, this is NOT a Sanctioned Ride. 

Over the winter months, please ensure you have bright lights front & back and you are dressed appropriately for the conditions!

Swim Squad is on Tuesday & Thursday at Coomera Anglican Aquatic Centre. Please arrive by 5.20am to go through the session and be in the water by 5.30am

Tuesday Track is at Griffith Uni. We will be starting warm ups at 5.30pm with a 6.00pm for the main set. 

FriYAY Koffee Kms is rolling out from Cafe 2 at 5.15am, swinging by MnL Roundabout at 5.20am, then toot tooting past Ox Lake at 5.30am, so be ready to jump on....the train will not wait!! Coffee is at Driftwood Cafe at Paradise Point.

Casual fees are to be paid in advance OR at the training session. A casual visit is $10 with pool entry additional paid upon Entry to Rackley's.
