Happy FriYAY Team!

Its time to start your engines. Let me hear them roar with excitement, speed and adrenaline. Yes, that's right, TONIGHT is the Run the World RECC Squad Run. And again this year, we have a HUGE amount of Multisport Gold representation across mens, females and mixed teams. 

This is the 3rd year this event has been held, with MSGold proudly participating in all 3 events, and each year, the fun & atmosphere just gets better & better. 

This year there is over 80 teams participating, so it is going to be a MASSIVE night for clubs and the run community. All coming together for the love of running, for the love of participation and the love of competition. 

I am looking forward to watching our teams battle it out both within our squad and overall. 

Unity is strength. So lets all unite as teams and a community tonight. Amazing things can be achieved together.

Such a busy time of the year on the racing calendar!

Last week we saw Trinny competing in the Pan Pacs Masters Games in the distance running event. Not only did Trinny podium on event race she was in, she was also the overall winner in her category. Huge congrats to you Trinny, such a deserving result!

Tomorrow we have Kahori on the start line over in NZ at the Queenstown marathon. This is such a spectacular race over beautiful landscape, with a mix of rolling trails and road. Of course, the weather is expected to plummet overnight, so make sure you keep warm and have so much fun out there Kahori!

Sunday we have athletes on start lines at various events. Harvey Bay has the 50 on Saturday and 100 on Sunday. We are proudly represented by Kate from Brisbane & Bretty in these events

Then locally, we have Robina Tri on Sunday, with both the Sprint and Olympic distance races taking place. We are well represented over both distances and this race is going to be have some fast & furious racing. Time to find it!

And a shout out to all our athletes and families who came along to the Christmas & Awards celebration last Sunday at Paradise Point Bowls Club. It certainly was an awesome afternoon together. A HUGE congrats to our 2024 Award winners and Trinny who was voted our Athletes Athlete. 

Over recent weeks, a Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Weekend has been organized, Thanks Kath for the millions of messages on dates and yes, we have locked in a date with some of the crew having accom booked. So if your keen for keen for another epic weekend away of running & riding, then get in on this one! DATES Friday 30th May - Sunday 1st June Accom at Esk Caravan park. NEW DATE TBA for those Chasing the Letter J

Our On Tour for the month of September will see us chasing the Letter J in our Alphabet, so over the mountain we go to Jeune, out Beaudesert way! This course is entirely on trails (or grass paddocks!) and is 2 laps! Hopefully there wont be any rain in the days leading up to this date, otherwise we will be having fun through mud & puddles LOL!!! 

Lets make this another adventure out for our crew, somewhere different and fun, and of course, we will search out the best local cafe for breakkie and coffee afterwards

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

With the new 2024-2025 Triathlon season kicking off on 1st July 2024, NOW is the time to start logging in your race results. Every parkrun, every race is worth valuable points, so be in it to win and lets see how is going to be our new Club Male & Female Champions!

We have modified the points system, so make sure you know the rules and you MUST be wearing your Multisport Gold kit! We are making the Club Championship to fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the website, simply fill in the tabs and you're on your way! 

Flights have changed, so Sunday 8th December, Coach Alli & the Cookie Clan fly out to NZ. After racing on Saturday 14th December, the family is having some much needed down time and will be returning to Australia on Monday 23rd December.  Changes to training during the time will be posted HERE next week. 

This Sunday BOTH of our Ride Groups will be rolling out from Ox Lake at 5.30am, the Sunday Cruisers and the Croissant Crew. Please ride with the appropriate ability for you, with the Sunday Cruiser usually looking for some climbing and ~100km, with the Croissants undulating at around 70km. Of course, coffee is compulsory for both groups LOL!!! 

With Robina Tri on Sunday, Coach Alli will once again, however Captain Cooke will make his appearance again!  

WEEKLY Training 

Swim Squad is on Tuesday & Thursday at Coomera Anglican Aquatic Centre. Please arrive by 5.20am to go through the session and be in the water by 5.30am

Tuesday Track is at Griffith Uni. We will be starting warm ups at 5.30pm with a 6.00pm for the main set. 

FriYAY Koffee Kms is rolling out from Cafe 2 at 5.15am, swinging by MnL Roundabout at 5.20am, then toot tooting past Ox Lake at 5.30am, so be ready to jump on....the train will not wait!! Coffee is at Driftwood Cafe at Paradise Point.

Casual fees are to be paid in advance OR at the training session. A casual visit is $10 with pool entry additional paid upon Entry to Rackley's.
