Over recent weeks, those on Instagram would've noticed some posts/re-posts & info I've been making about Australian Triathlon Academy. So what is Australian Triathlon Academy I hear you ask!

I have been working with an amazing coach from Brisbane, Dan, who I met through the YouFor32 Campaign 18 months ago. He has been involved in the high performance space for a number of years with various sports, with his passion triathlon, he was with Aus Tri & QAS for a number of years. 

We are currently working on putting together an elite triathlon pathway for junior elite athletes who are just out of school, or about to leave school. Athletes like Bo (who most of you remember) who are stuck in no-mans land but want to pursue their triathlon careers. 

This is a really difficult age for these athletes trying to break into the senior elite ranks. There is such opportunities,  experiences  and elite race opportunities in Europe, every weekend there is racing. Sadly, there is nothing like that on offer here in Australia. 

We currently have athletes on 4 teams for the French Grand Prix in June, which is one of the strongest series in the world. 

For me as a coach, this is been such an exciting opportunity & experience to be part of the development of this Academy. The response we have had so far has been extremely positive both from athletes and French Teams willing to take Aussies on.

The Australian Triathlon Academy is offering these young athletes education, support and connections, these are truly exciting times moving forward in 2025 and beyond for the young stars of our sport.

Time to reset and reload....here we go for 2025. The new calendar is starting to fill up very quickly!

For those doing a 70.3 or IM in the upcoming few months, there is a Training Camp being held in Noosa from Friday 14-Sunday 16th February. This camp is run by squad friend and Sunshine Coast Cycling Tours. Ask Coach Alli for more details, discounts apply for MSGold athletes. 

The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Weekend has been organized, Thanks Kath for the millions of messages on dates and yes, we have locked in a date with some of the crew having accom booked. So if your keen for keen for another epic weekend away of running & riding, then get in on this one! DATES Friday 30th May - Sunday 1st June Accom at Esk Caravan park. Have a think about adding some of these events to your calendar  :  QTS Series, Gold Coast Marathon and Sunny Coast Marathon. AND don't forget, there is still plenty of qualifying races for Worlds in Wollongong coming up in 2025!!!

NEW DATE TBA for those Chasing the Letter J

Our On Tour for the month of September will see us chasing the Letter J in our Alphabet, so over the mountain we go to Jeune, out Beaudesert way! This course is entirely on trails (or grass paddocks!) and is 2 laps! Hopefully there wont be any rain in the days leading up to this date, otherwise we will be having fun through mud & puddles LOL!!! 

Lets make this another adventure out for our crew, somewhere different and fun, and of course, we will search out the best local cafe for breakkie and coffee afterwards

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

With the new 2024-2025 Triathlon season kicking off on 1st July 2024, NOW is the time to start logging in your race results. Every parkrun, every race is worth valuable points, so be in it to win and lets see how is going to be our new Club Male & Female Champions!

We have modified the points system, so make sure you know the rules and you MUST be wearing your Multisport Gold kit! We are making the Club Championship to fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the website, simply fill in the tabs and you're on your way! 

This Sunday, Group Rides are as follows:

Any athletes racing OD events coming up ie Robina, you have race pace efforts. So, lets look at having you roll out at 5.30am for your efforts around Mont Keys with runs off the bike back at the Lake....then of course coffee LOL

The other 2 groups, Croissants and Cruisers, will both be rolling out at 5.30am as well. Destinations TBA depending on numbers....but rides WILL involve coffee LOL!!!! 

Swim Squad is on Tuesday & Thursday at Coomera Anglican Aquatic Centre. Please arrive by 5.10am to go through the session and be in the water by 5.20am. For the month of January, we MUST be out of the water at 6.30am so if you are wanting to get your kms in, you must be in early.

Tuesday Track is at Griffith Uni. We will be starting warm ups at 5.30pm with a 6.00pm for the main set. 

FriYAY Koffee Kms is rolling out from Cafe 2 at 5.15am, swinging by MnL Roundabout at 5.20am, then toot tooting past Ox Lake at 5.30am, so be ready to jump on....the train will not wait!! Coffee is at Driftwood Cafe at Paradise Point.

Casual fees are to be paid in advance OR at the training session. A casual visit is $10 with pool entry additional paid upon Entry to Rackley's.
