This Friday, 25 April, is ANZAC Day—a time for us to remember and reflect on the bravery and sacrifice of those who’ve served for Australia and New Zealand.

Whether you're heading to a dawn service, spending time with the family, or simply taking a quiet moment to pause, I hope we get a chance to reflect on what this day means.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. We will remember them.

I'll be charging my glass for my darling grandparents, Ronald & Edna.

Start those engines ...... we have another HUGE weekend of racing coming up, from locally to nationally to globally! I'm so excited for this weekend!

Ballarat Run Festival is one of the buzz races on the run calendar right now, with stacked fields in the 1/2 and Marathon distances. This year, we are so proudly represented by Fiona. Fi has been one of our members for such a long time, and whilst now living in SA these, she is still such a huge part of our Team. Have a brilliant experience in the 1/2 M Fi

Locally this weekend, we have the GC Run Festival with various distances on the schedule. From Ivy in the 2.5km with both Neill & Adeel on the 10km start line. Some great racing for the Team, its all about having run in these lead up races! 

And of course.....we have our Marathon Queen, Trinny, on the start line of the TCS London Marathon. This has become one of the most sought-after Abbott World Marathon Majors races. Known for its flat scenic course, world-class competition, and excellent organization, this gem of a marathon will have Trinny feeling like royalty when she crosses the finish line on the Mall in front of Buckingham Palace.

Yes, it is getting dark earlier, and there is a chill in the air which means winter is approaching! Please remember the importance of safety in the darker morning out riding AND running. On all our group rides you will be required to have working FRONT and REAR lights. 

The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Weekend has been organized, Thanks Kath for the millions of messages on dates and yes, we have locked in a date with some of the crew having accom booked. So if your keen for keen for another epic weekend away of running & riding, then get in on this one! DATES Friday 30th May - Sunday 1st June Accom at Esk Caravan park. Have a think about adding some of these events to your calendar  :  Gold Coast Marathon and Sunny Coast Marathon. And looking into 2026, a definite for running enthusiasts is Tarawera, there is a distance for everyone AND Steve Jackson from Trail Trips has slots on his tour OPEN NOW! And, entries for the Dreamworld Fun Run are also now OPEN

Old Esk Railway Station Saturday 31st May

May is another month jam packed with racing every weekend, so, lets incorporate our On Tour with our Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Weekend :-)

Many of the crew are heading to Esk & staying at the caravan park, so what better way to add an O to our parkrun alphabet than running the Old Esk Railway Station parkrun!

The course starts at the Old Esk Railway Station, and is a 2 lap, southbound out & back along the concrete BVRT path, with a circular loop into the Esk Showgrounds on each return lap. 

I have no doubt this will be a really scenic and enjoyable run, somewhere completely different for us......and who knows where we will end up for breakfast & coffee! 

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

With the new 2024-2025 Triathlon season kicking off on 1st July 2024, NOW is the time to start logging in your race results. Every parkrun, every race is worth valuable points, so be in it to win and lets see how is going to be our new Club Male & Female Champions!

We have modified the points system, so make sure you know the rules and you MUST be wearing your Multisport Gold kit! We are making the Club Championship to fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the website, simply fill in the tabs and you're on your way! 

Last quality hit out for the 70.3 & IM Crew (And Kingy Crew!) on Sunday. Lets look at meeting at 6.00am with a 6.30am kick off, the same as last week. 

The Sunday Coffee Cruisers will be rolling out from Ox Lake at 6.00am, our Winter start time. This ride will be at a steady pace with a regroup along the way. Coffee shop TBC :-)

Swim Squad is on Tuesday & Thursday at Coomera Anglican Aquatic Centre. Please arrive by 5.20am to go through the session and be in the water by 5.30am. 

Tuesday Track is at Griffith Uni. We will be starting warm ups at 5.30pm with a 6.00pm for the main set, remember we may meet on the opposite side of the track if the front straight is busy! 

FriYAY Koffee Kms is rolling out from Cafe 2 at 5.15am, swinging by MnL Roundabout at 5.20am, then toot tooting past Ox Lake at 5.30am, so be ready to jump on....the train will not wait!! Coffee is at Driftwood Cafe at Paradise Point.

Casual fees are to be paid in advance OR at the training session. A casual visit is $10 with pool entry additional paid upon Entry to Rackley's.
