Massive shoutout to the Multisport Gold parkrun volunteers tomorrow – the real MVPs!

While the rest of the Coomera parkrun runners are busy questioning their life choices halfway up yet another hill, our awesome volunteers will be out there around the course making the magic happen — scanning barcodes, cheering like champions, pretending not to notice their uphill wheezing, timekeeping and taking everyone’s smiling glamour photos!!! .

Each year Multisport Gold gives back to Coomera parkrun by taking over all the volunteer roles. Coomera is our home parkrun and to many of us where we have completed milestones, met lifelong friends and made changes to our lifestyles from the influence this weekly event has had on our lives.

Lets shout out loud, be squad proud and bring so much atmosphere to the Coomera parkrun community on Saturday, make it a morning we can all embrace the spirit of friendship and sport

And the racing continues, another HUGE weekend coming up! 

OK, we have our very own Boss Lady Sharyn heading out to Warwick for the Pentatharun. This is an event held over 2 days, 5 races all adding up to 42.2km! Day 1 is a 1/2M, 5km run finishing in the PM with a 4.5 Cross Country. Wake up the next morning for a 10km straight up and straight down run with a 1600m sprint around the race course to make sure those legs are kaput! We will be cheering you on Boss Lady, have an epic event & loads of pics please!!! 

Heading up North, we have the Noosa Run Festival. Competing on Saturday we have Nathan in the 1/2M, then our speed star Kath takes on the grueling marathon. We have all witnessed Kath's training over recent months go from awesome to incredible, so Go Kath Go! Then on Sunday, we have our Merman Pete making the start line for the Ocean Swim.....at least someone will get a swim in LOL!!! 

Then we turn the compass South to Kingy Tri! This event was postponed from 23rd March and now the swim has been canceled for Sunday :-( This is going to be an awesome race with some of our Big Hitters.....Bretty & Shane.....as well as Trinny,  Jase & Jac Read looking for some big results as well. 

And....back here on home turf, we have our Multisport Gold takes over Coomera parkrun on Saturday! Thankyou to those fabulous people who have put their hands up to volunteer for us...as a token of our Thanks, please see Justin for your FREE Vollie coffee afterwards :-) 

Yes, it is getting dark earlier, and there is a chill in the air which means winter is approaching! Please remember the importance of safety in the darker morning out riding AND running. On all our group rides you will be required to have working FRONT and REAR lights. 

The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Weekend has been organized, Thanks Kath for the millions of messages on dates and yes, we have locked in a date with some of the crew having accom booked. So if your keen for keen for another epic weekend away of running & riding, then get in on this one! DATES Friday 30th May - Sunday 1st June Accom at Esk Caravan park. Have a think about adding some of these events to your calendar  :  Gold Coast Marathon and Sunny Coast Marathon. And looking into 2026, a definite for running enthusiasts is Tarawera, there is a distance for everyone AND Steve Jackson from Trail Trips has slots on his tour OPEN NOW! And, entries for the Dreamworld Fun Run are also now OPEN

Old Esk Railway Station Saturday 31st May

May is another month jam packed with racing every weekend, so, lets incorporate our On Tour with our Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Weekend :-)

Many of the crew are heading to Esk & staying at the caravan park, so what better way to add an O to our parkrun alphabet than running the Old Esk Railway Station parkrun!

The course starts at the Old Esk Railway Station, and is a 2 lap, southbound out & back along the concrete BVRT path, with a circular loop into the Esk Showgrounds on each return lap. 

I have no doubt this will be a really scenic and enjoyable run, somewhere completely different for us......and who knows where we will end up for breakfast & coffee! 

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

With the new 2024-2025 Triathlon season kicking off on 1st July 2024, NOW is the time to start logging in your race results. Every parkrun, every race is worth valuable points, so be in it to win and lets see how is going to be our new Club Male & Female Champions!

We have modified the points system, so make sure you know the rules and you MUST be wearing your Multisport Gold kit! We are making the Club Championship to fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the website, simply fill in the tabs and you're on your way! 

The Sunday Coffee Cruisers will be rolling out from Ox Lake at 6.00am, our Winter start time. This ride will be at a steady pace with a regroup along the way. Coffee shop TBC :-) 

Swim Squad is on Tuesday & Thursday at Coomera Anglican Aquatic Centre. Please arrive by 5.20am to go through the session and be in the water by 5.30am. 

Tuesday Track is at Griffith Uni. We will be starting warm ups at 5.30pm with a 6.00pm for the main set, remember we may meet on the opposite side of the track if the front straight is busy! 

FriYAY Koffee Kms is rolling out from Cafe 2 at 5.15am, swinging by MnL Roundabout at 5.20am, then toot tooting past Ox Lake at 5.30am, so be ready to jump on....the train will not wait!! Coffee is at Driftwood Cafe at Paradise Point.

Casual fees are to be paid in advance OR at the training session. A casual visit is $10 with pool entry additional paid upon Entry to Rackley's.
