The off-season isn’t just a break from racing — it’s an opportunity to rebuild, recover, and lay the foundations for a strong season ahead. Maybe you’ve worked on improving technique in the pool, building strength in the gym, increasing your cadence on the run, or allowing your body to heal from those little niggles. Even if your training load wasn’t as high, consistency and smart focus now will pay off when the race calendar heats up.

If you feel like your off-season didn’t quite go as planned, and perhaps you opted to stay in bed more often than not, don’t panic — there’s still time to make smart adjustments. Start by re-establishing routine, focusing on quality sessions rather than volume, and setting clear goals for the months ahead. Use the transition into spring to increase your outdoor sessions, refresh your equipment, and fine-tune your nutrition. Whether you’ve smashed your winter training or need to reboot, now’s the moment to build momentum as we are about to enter your best season yet.

YIPPEE, its thats time already when a few of the crew are excited to be on the start line of the Dreamworld Fun on Sunday! This is such a fun community event which has grown so popular over recent years! We get to run through White Water World, Dreamworld Worlds including the new River Town, the Colour Run section and so much more fun! Please keep your eyes on our FB page for a meeting time & place for a group photo!

Jetsetting Jo H is off again this weekend, this time to the beautiful Airlie Beach! Saturday is the open water swim, and Sunday having some fun in the Olympic Distance Tri. Enjoy the warm sunshine Jo! 

TBC Dates for Transitions at Lake Hugh Muntz. With World Champs and race season not far away, we are going to look at having some transition practice at Lake Hugh Muntz prior to these events to fresh athletes up. We have had numerous sessions at this location and it is perfect for our prep.  Pencil in Friday 29th  August // Saturday 20th September // Saturday 4th October

Yes, it is getting dark earlier, and there is a chill in the air which means winter is here! Please remember the importance of safety in the darker morning out riding AND running. On all our group rides you will be required to have working FRONT and REAR lights. 

parkrun on Tour Chasing the Alphabet Letter J

Saturday 23rd August ## NEW DATE

(This is a change of date from 2nd to the 23rd August) 

Our On Tour for the month of August will see us chasing the Letter J in our parkrun alphabet, so over the mountain we go to Jeune, yes, out near Beaudesert! 

This course is entirely on trails (or grassy paddocks!) and is 2 laps. Hopefully there wont be any rain in the week leading up to this On Tour event, otherwise you may need to pack in your gumboots LOL!

Lets make this another awesome event for our parkrun Crew. Of course, we will go in search of breakfast & coffee, and probably some heaters afterwards!

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

With the new 2025-2026 Triathlon season kicking off on 1st July 2025, NOW is the time to start logging in your race results. Every parkrun, every race is worth valuable points, so be in it to win and lets see how is going to be our new Club Male & Female Champions!

We have modified the points system, so make sure you know the rules and you MUST be wearing your Multisport Gold kit! We are making the Club Championship to fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the website, simply fill in the tabs and you're on your way! 

Sunday Rides will be rolling out from Ox Lake at our winter start time of 6.00am. There will be a few different groups this week as we start to target various events or some still enjoying the luxury of coffee kms! 

Coach Alli will NOT be at the Sunday this Sunday as she is running the Dreamworld Fun Run. 

Swim Squad is on Tuesday & Thursday at Coomera Anglican Aquatic Centre. Please arrive by 5.20am to go through the session and be in the water by 5.30am. 

Tuesday Track is at Griffith Uni. We will be starting warm ups at 5.30pm with a 6.00pm for the main set, remember we may meet on the opposite side of the track if the front straight is busy! 

FriYAY Koffee Kms is rolling out from Cafe 2 at 5.15am, swinging by MnL Roundabout at 5.20am, then toot tooting past Ox Lake at 5.30am, so be ready to jump on....the train will not wait!! Coffee is at Driftwood Cafe at Paradise Point.

Casual fees are to be paid in advance OR at the training session. A casual visit is $10 with pool entry additional paid upon Entry to Rackley's.
