Happy FriYAY Team!

As we close the chapter on an incredible year, I feel so incredibly proud of what our Multisport Gold Team has accomplished together, our 14th year. From strong showings across local, regional to World Championship triathlons to line honours & personal bests on the roads and trails, this season was packed with moments that reminded us why we love sport. Whether it was first finish lines or hard-earned podiums, the commitment to consistent training and smart racing showed up again and again.

Beyond results, 2025 was defined by teamwork and community. Our athletes showed up for one another at early-morning sessions, the cold winter darkness, we cheered relentlessly on race day, and gave back through volunteering at events that keep our multisport community thriving. That willingness to lend a hand—often before pinning on a bib—speaks volumes about the culture we’re building. Success isn’t just measured in times and medals; it’s measured in how we support each other.

With that momentum behind us, we’re already looking ahead with excitement. The foundation is strong, the goals are ambitious, and the camaraderie is better than ever. Here’s to carrying this energy into 2026—another year of growth, grit, and shared victories for Multisport Gold.

We all love parkrun 🥳And we all love our fav Kiwi, Hazel 🥝🩷 So.....what does this combination mean? It means our amazing Hazel is completing her Run New Zealand here in Australia....at Coomera parkrun, her Aussie home 🏡🐨, on Saturday. Come along to run, walk, volunteer, and be there to cheer Hazel across the finish line. 

This Saturday, Sunday & Monday is the Super Sprint Race Weekend held at Runaway Bay. This is the events 1st year as an Event of National Significance, so if you want to see some exceptional racing from U23, Juniors & Rookies from around the Country, the racing is going to be ON! Young Kaelan will be on the start line in a number of events, and Coach Alli will be there in a Technical Official role for the duration of the event. (Therefore, Coach Alli is totally offline for these 3 days!)

2026 CAMP. Details To Come....but lock in 1-4 May at Mooloolaba. The perfect time to add in final block of training for the season, and to kick start the start of the 2nd half of the year. With many A Races popping up in Aus & overseas, this camp is going to be filled with racing & training elements. 

## There is LIMITED spots available for our French Cycling Tour. Our dates have been locked in for 9-18 July. There is many options available for flights, rides on the camp and seeing the Tour live. Please contact Coach Alli ASAP for more information. 

For any athletes looking for a ride group of a Saturday, please touch base with Dave J. His Ride de Cure Crew roll out to a different route each Saturday and always is a quality (and safe) ride. 

IM Oceania has officially released their dates & locations for IM & 70.3 events for 2026. How lucky are we to have so many events to choose from, so close to home with spectacular locations. Entries for most of these events are now OPEN

Sunny Coast Marathon Festival was hugely popular with the Team in 2025, and entries for this event are now open. Jump on and secure your spot before it sells out!

Gainsborough Parklands parkrun Saturday 24th January 2026

The new Gainsborough Parklands parkrun has had the new course open for a few months now, and not all of us have run the new course. Lets start 2026 On Tours across the highway at Gainsborough Parklands. This new course is a 2 lap course, it is fast & flat so is a opportunity to cheer each other on multiple times!

Breakfast will be at One Little Tree Cafe at Pimpama Junction Shopping Centre

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

With the new 2025-2026 Triathlon season kicking off on 1st July 2025, NOW is the time to start logging in your race results. Every parkrun, every race is worth valuable points, so be in it to win and lets see how is going to be our new Club Male & Female Champions!

We have modified the points system, so make sure you know the rules and you MUST be wearing your Multisport Gold kit! We are making the Club Championship to fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the website, simply fill in the tabs and you're on your way! 

Sunday rides return YIPPEE! ALL groups will be rolling out at 5.30am from Oxenford Lake (carpark towards the cafe end) Sunday's ride will have a mix of flat and hills so please ensure you come with plenty of fuel & fluids! Coach Alli will NOT be riding as she is at SSRW, so program athletes, please know what your programs say!!!

Swim Squad is on Tuesday & Thursday at Coomera Anglican Aquatic Centre. Please arrive by 5.20am to go through the session and be in the water by 5.30am. 

Tuesday Track is at Griffith Uni. We will be starting warm ups at 5.30pm with a 6.00pm for the main set, remember we may meet on the opposite side of the track if the front straight is busy! 

FriYAY Koffee Kms is rolling out from Cafe 2 at 5.15am, swinging by MnL Roundabout at 5.20am, then toot tooting past Ox Lake at 5.30am, so be ready to jump on....the train will not wait!! Coffee is at Driftwood Cafe at Paradise Point.

Casual fees are to be paid in advance OR at the training session. A casual visit is $10 with pool entry additional paid upon Entry to Rackley's.
