Happy FriYAY Team!

And just like that… triathlon season is here! πŸŠβ€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

This Sunday we kick things off at Moreton Bay, and it has been pretty awesome seeing the energy building across the squad over the past few weeks. Sessions have been busy, the banter has been strong, the encouragement even stronger, and there is a real sense that we are all starting to get excited about what the season ahead might bring, from Sprint distance through to Ironman.

We have all been on our own little journeys over the past few months β€” putting in the work, navigating the good days and the not-so-good days, setting goals and slowly building towards what comes next. And now, as the racing starts, it’s great to see all of that come together as a squad. We train together, race together, support each other and celebrate the journey together.

There is something pretty special about this time of year. Suddenly there are races on the calendar, goals become a little more real, and every session seems to have a bit more purpose.  And, of course, we’ll continue to draw inspiration from those around us β€” whether it’s someone lining up for their first race, chasing a PB, tackling a new distance or simply having a crack at something that challenges them.

So as we head into the season, let’s remember that the training isn't just about getting ourselves ready for race day. It’s about the people beside us, the conversations before and after sessions, the encouragement when things get tough, the laughs, the banter and those little moments that make being part of a squad so much more than just turning up to training.

Our goals. Our races. Our season. Together.

Here’s to the months ahead β€” plenty of training, plenty of racing, plenty of laughs and, hopefully, plenty of moments that make us proud of what we’ve achieved together.

Bring on the 2026-27 Triathlon season! πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ₯³πŸŠβ€β™€οΈπŸš΄β€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Upcoming Training Schedule
Weekly Swim Training on the Gold Coast

Sunday rides will be rolling out from Ox Lake at the winter time of 6.00am.  This time of the year, we are looking for longer aerobic rides, so sunshine & coffees are very much acceptable LOL!  It is COMPULSORY in our winter groups rides to have working front & rear lights. No lights = No ride.

Please remember we are riding on Public Roads, therefore we MUST obey the road rules at ALL times and always use group riding etiquette.

## Coach Alli will NOT be riding on Sunday but will try to chat to those at parkrun on Saturday to ensure riders know what the plans are.

Swim Squad is on Tuesday & Thursday at Coomera Anglican Aquatic Centre. Please arrive by 5.20am to go through the session and be in the water by 5.30am.

Tuesday Track is at Griffith Uni!!!! Please note that we usually locate ourselves on the opposite to the Grandstand as it is less crowded!    We will still be starting at 5.30pm

FriYAY Koffee Kms is rolling out from Cafe 2 at 5.15am, swinging by MnL Roundabout at 5.20am, then toot tooting past Ox Lake at 5.30am, so be ready to jump on....the train will not wait!! Coffee is back at Driftwood by popular demand!

UNSAFE riding on aerobars on TT bikes within a bunch will NOT be tolerated. Repeat offenders WILL be excluded from group rides as the safety of riders will NOT be jeopardized.

Casual fees are to be paid in advance OR at the training session. A casual visit is $10 with pool entry additional paid upon Entry to Rackley's.
