Happy FriYAY Team!

 Port Macquarie 2027 — Who’s In?!

Last Sunday was Port Macquarie Ironman and 70.3, and what a weekend it was! Port is such a perfect location for a weekend of racing, and not just for those taking on the course, but for our amazing support crew who travelled down to cheer, encourage, yell, ring cowbells and generally make a whole lot of noise.

Port has always been a popular race for our squad. Firstly, it’s a few hours down the road, which makes it a pretty doable adventure for most of us. But more importantly, so many of our athletes have raced there before, meaning there’s a wealth of experience, advice, encouragement and course knowledge to share with those tackling a new distance or taking on Port for the first time.

And then there was 2023… 🥈

Our squad took out 2nd place in the Oceania Club Championships, and honestly, what a highlight! The celebrations were so good that the officials actually had to kick us off the stage. 😂 Clearly, we were enjoying the moment a little too much!

Now, we can’t recreate history, but we can absolutely create some brand-new memories.

Imagine being part of the team taking on a new distance, challenging yourself on a new course, aiming to beat a previous time (or each other!!!) and crossing that finish line knowing you’ve put in the work, or being one of the voices on the sidelines helping someone else get there. And let’s not forget the volunteers who give up their time to help make these events happen. Every role matters, and every person adds something special to the weekend.

You don’t have to be racing to be part of the experience. Sometimes, being part of a team, sharing the nerves, celebrating the achievements and cheering your mates home is just as memorable as crossing the finish line yourself.

So, here’s the question…

 Who’s locking in 17 October 2027?

Who’s keen to tackle a new distance? Who wants to race with the squad? Who wants to be part of the Banter before, during & after racing? Who’s coming along to cheer, volunteer, or simply be part of the madness? Who wants to run down that red carpet, head held high, proud of what they’ve achieved?

You don’t need to have it all figured out today. You just need to start thinking about what might be possible. 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Live Boldly. 💛💙💚
