Happy FriYAY Team!

๐ŸŽ„ November & December โ€” The Silly Season Is Here!

As we head into the final two months of the year, November and December, Iโ€™ve taken a look at my calendar and realised that every weekend has something on! Who else is the same??!! Whether itโ€™s heading off to a race, volunteering over a weekend as a Technical Official, family commitments or Christmas parties, this time of year certainly gets hectic!

We are in full swing of triathlon race season, which means training steps up a notch, there is more running around to do, down time becomes less and it is harder to squeeze in a few  nanna naps!!!

One thing Iโ€™ve learnt over the years is that when life gets busier, our stress levels can creep up, sleep can take a back seat, and suddenly the days, weeks and months have flown by. Before we know it, it will be February! LOL!

So, yes, this is an exciting and busy time of year, and it is so important to stop, take a breath and give yourself a little grace! Enjoy the racing, the social catch-ups, the family time and all the festive fun without adding unnecessary pressure or stress of cramming training in.

If a training session gets missed, shortened or swapped around to fit in with life, thatโ€™s absolutely fine! Not every session needs to be perfect, and we donโ€™t need to squeeze every last minute out of every day so you fall into bed totally exhausted. Sometimes, a little extra rest or self TLC is exactly what the body needs.

Remember, this is our hobby, something we do because we enjoy it! Training should add to our lives, not become another source of stress.

Keep moving, keep smiling, enjoying the journey. Thereโ€™s plenty of time to train, race and chase those goals, but itโ€™s just as important to enjoy everything else that makes life special along the way.

Live Boldly. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š
