Happy FriYAY Team!
parkrun has been in Australia for the last 10 years, starting in Main Beach in 2011. Since these early days, so many of us have seen parkrun become part of our Saturday morning ritual. Many of us have met through parkrun & formed life-long friendships. This amazing community event continues to bring us family & individual joy as we run together, challenging ourselves over the 5km courses.
Each week, we scan our barcodes & clock up another run...knowing one day...we will eventually make the next milestone run! It does take commitment & dedication week after week, and it is always with such excitement & pride we share in the big milestones!
This Saturday at Coomera, we will see Jase with his 350th parkrun. Wow! That's 1750km of running at parkrun! We also have Alan ticking off his 250th, another great milestone to accomplish.
No matter how big or small your milestones are, be super proud of your efforts out there, not only are you creating a healthy & fit life for yourself, but for your family & the community. parkrun
Over & out for today,
Alli |

Racing was red hot last weekend, and with perfect weather conditions, it was all systems GO for the Multisport Gold Crews.
Our Brisbane based Kate raced the Harvey Bay 100, which is renowned for being super hot & humid! Kate has been training so hard over recent months for this race & what a race she had! In previous years she has won the category, placed 2nd, 4th & 5th. In a red hot age group, Kate did a massive 7 minute PB & placed 9th in her category. This is an outstanding result & to have Kate as part of the Multisport Gold Crew truly is a highlight. Superb racing Kate :-)
Then we had our SEQ Trail racers hitting the start line at Bayview for Round 4 of the Series. This is flatter & faster course so there was some really quick time's out there.....with a huge Congratulations to our Trail King & Queen, Tim & Erin who both placed 2nd in their age categories in the long course event. Huge congratulations to Alan & Coach Alli for their 'sprint' finish LOL. Trin had 2 nasty falls but still won her age category in the short course, well done Trin, what an awesome results. Kudos to B, Lisa who had awesome runs in the short course. We also had Jezz out there with us, however he decided to take the long warm up & go exploring....missing the start!! Well done to our SEQ Team.
Down at Robina, wow, what a morning for the Multisport Gold Crew! Some great pbs over the Olympic Distance, which was in near perfect conditions. So many podiums for us, so a huge congratulations to our amazing athletes of Jase, Sharyn, Rikki (&Shara) Kath, Linda on your bling! The photos on the Facebook are so awesome, filled with smiles, teamwork & laughter! Well done team
GC50 is on the calendar for this weekend, and with the weather looking great for running, it should be another fantastic event! We have Eiji in the 25km, with Bangers & Scrambled Legs (Coach Alli!) Vs Mashy & Craig and add in the mix Alan & Chris F-G........may the best team win LOL! There will be a squad tent up (not ours, one supplied to us) within the race precinct, so lets make this another awesome event for the Multisport Gold team. Giddy up!
