Happy FriYAY Team!
parkun is such a huge part of Multisport Gold and a community event we all enjoy participating in weekly. Some of our athletes have achieved some amazing milestones over the years, some very fast running, course records & those aiming to complete their 5km each week, parkrun certainly does hold a very special place in the Multisport Gold culture.
Last Saturday was the Multisport Gold parkrun on tour #5 to Varsity Lakes. Some of our crew hadn't run this course before, and some were seasoned campaigners, so having our squad colours scattered throughout the field really was a great motivator! We all took such pride in cheering each on from the start to the finish line!
Of course, what is a Multisport Gold event without going for breakfast & coffee afterwards, enjoying each others company, some great laughs & plenty of banter! We may to return to Varsity in the near future just for the food, coffee & service at HPK!!
Thankyou to all of our Crew for continuing our parkrun on Tour series & making it a really memorable one!
Over & out for today,
Alli |

This week, we have seen an alarming increase in the amount of Covid cases, and starting to filter into our area. Each day there is new advice from the Qld Govt, on new rules & restrictions, it does become quite overwhelming.
The sports of swim-bike-run, and our training venue of Coomera Aquatic Centre run by Rackleys swimming, currently have NO restrictions in place, however it is encouraged to wear your masks upon entering the Aquatic Centre.
As a coach, I do have a duty of care for all of our athletes, both vaccinated, and in particular, those who remain unvaccinated.
For those unvaccinated athletes, to protect yourself against Covid-19, it is recommended you maintain your social distancing at ALL times.
If you are unwell, with any flu-like symptoms at all, it is advised you get tested immediately & remain in iso until you receive your test results.
We still must be vigilant when Checking In at each session with the QR code. It is advised that you have your vaccination certificate linked.
Those UNvaccinated athletes, please do not be offended, but it would be appreciated if you could advise me of your current status. This will assist in my duty of care for all squad athletes. This information will not be shared.
Thankyou so much for your continued understanding & co-operation as we weave our way through this Covid maize....again!

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Number 6 |
| |
|
Saturday 5th February
Multisport Gold parkrun on Tour #6 will see us venture to the very flat & fast course at Kirra. Looking for a new pb, then this could be place to do it! Starting just south of the Kirra SLSC, this is an out & back course along the picturesque southern GC beachfront.
In true Multisport Gold style, having our squad colours over the course will be another parkrun on Tour to remember! Yes, it will be our time to dominate again!
Whilst the drive may be a tad longer for us on the Northern end, this truly is such a spectacular course...so come on Team, #letsdothis!
Without any doubts, there will be Coffee & Breakfast afterwards as usual! |

Exciting New Website Page |
| |
|
A very exciting new page has been added to our Multisport Gold Website this week!
Nutrition is such a critical part of our training, fueling, recovery & good health is something which all of us, as athletes, should take very seriously! We all spend hard earned dollars on our programs, our sessions, our equipment, and it is generally our nutrition which is neglected! In fact, it should be on top of our priority list!
A number of the Crew attended the Sports Nutrition Workshop with Nicole from Ascent Sports Nutrition, so not only does our newest page have a few delicious recipes to try out, it also has a link to Nicole's business for athletes looking for specific direction from a highly regarded Accredited Sports Dietitian.
Check it out team, it really is a great new feature. You can find it in the Teams dropdown bar!
Big thanks to our IT Guru Gordo!
Enjoy ! |

With some fairly miserable weather most of last week & the weekend, and not to mention Covid rearing its ugly head again....Robina Tri went ahead as planned last Sunday. Whilst there was some changes made to the event, this certainly didn't dampen the spirits of the Multisport Gold Crew who braved the wet road & the horrendous humidity, to all put together very impressive races over the sprint & Olympic distances!
We all hope for perfect conditions on race day, and when Mother Nature has other plans, it can really make for interesting racing & more often than not, individual race plans need to be changed to suit the conditions.
Our athletes who raced, all raced smart & within their skill levels given the conditions & it was with such pride to see their smiles, race photos & their post race stories! Congratulations to our athletes, you truly all had outstanding races.
Kudos to Jase who again, finished on the podium, a silver medal in his category! We also had Doug who completed his 1st every Triathlon, he had an awesome race in the Enticer, loving every minute of it & excited for his next race!
Well done to all our team! |
