Happy FriYAY Team!
I was sitting at my desk last Sunday afternoon & reflecting on the fantastic week the Multisport Gold crew had had. There was so many positives & moments that made me smile & proud. LOL, this does happen most weeks, but for some reason, this Sundays reflection time really made me proud.
Not only from the successful sessions we had all had, there was some great splits in the pool & at track, as well as so much laughter after sessions which really makes me so proud of our family. The race results were starting to filter through from Kingy, and some of the conversations I had with athletes were really positive & some great feedback had been received.
Social media is also a really powerful tool, and its great to see a number of our athletes posting regularly about their training & experiences. We really had ticked so many boxes last week.
Then, like a light was switched on, I thought, wouldn't it be so uplifting for all of our group to learn a little bit more about what our fellow training buddies have excelled at during the week. Some of our members train alone, some live away from the GC area, some do great things in the group environment & others on race day, our group is so versatile we should ALL be so proud of each other!
So each Sunday on our Facebook Page we will have the Sunday Shout Out. A way to recognize a proud moment from someone within the group from during the week just gone. Its not always about pbs or podiums, its about getting out there Team, continuing to shine & being proud of who we are & what we do.
Lets do This,
Alli |

This week, we have seen an alarming increase in the amount of Covid cases, and starting to filter into our area. Each day there is new advice from the Qld Govt, on new rules & restrictions, it does become quite overwhelming.
The sports of swim-bike-run, and our training venue of Coomera Aquatic Centre run by Rackleys swimming, currently have NO restrictions in place, however it is encouraged to wear your masks upon entering the Aquatic Centre.
As a coach, I do have a duty of care for all of our athletes, both vaccinated, and in particular, those who remain unvaccinated.
For those unvaccinated athletes, to protect yourself against Covid-19, it is recommended you maintain your social distancing at ALL times.
If you are unwell, with any flu-like symptoms at all, it is advised you get tested immediately & remain in iso until you receive your test results.
We still must be vigilant when Checking In at each session with the QR code. It is advised that you have your vaccination certificate linked.
Those UNvaccinated athletes, please do not be offended, but it would be appreciated if you could advise me of your current status. This will assist in my duty of care for all squad athletes. This information will not be shared.
Thankyou so much for your continued understanding & co-operation as we weave our way through this Covid maize....again!

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Number 6 |
| |
|
Saturday 5th February
Multisport Gold parkrun on Tour #6 will see us venture to the very flat & fast course at Kirra. Looking for a new pb, then this could be place to do it! Starting just south of the Kirra SLSC, this is an out & back course along the picturesque southern GC beachfront.
In true Multisport Gold style, having our squad colours over the course will be another parkrun on Tour to remember! Yes, it will be our time to dominate again!
Whilst the drive may be a tad longer for us on the Northern end, this truly is such a spectacular course...so come on Team, #letsdothis!
Without any doubts, there will be Coffee & Breakfast afterwards as usual! |

A very exciting new page has been added to our Multisport Gold Website this week!
Nutrition is such a critical part of our training, fueling, recovery & good health is something which all of us, as athletes, should take very seriously! We all spend hard earned dollars on our programs, our sessions, our equipment, and it is generally our nutrition which is neglected! In fact, it should be on top of our priority list!
A number of the Crew attended the Sports Nutrition Workshop with Nicole from Ascent Sports Nutrition, so not only does our newest page have a few delicious recipes to try out, it also has a link to Nicole's business for athletes looking for specific direction from a highly regarded Accredited Sports Dietitian.
Check it out team, it really is a great new feature. You can find it in the Teams dropdown bar!
Big thanks to our IT Guru Gordo!
Enjoy ! |

Kingy Tri, finally, despite so much upheaval over the last 2 years, was able to successful put on their 1st race of 2022!! Yippee! Despite an altered swim course, interesting cross winds on the bike, heat on the run, all of our Multisport Gold athletes shone out on course! A huge shout out to Sharyn who completed her 1st Olympic distance as she starts in her prep for Port 70.3, well done Sharyn, you nailed it! A shout out to Kelly on her race. After a long time on the side lines with some serious injuries, she has made a steady return to training & racing & took out a win in her category! Well done Kelly :-) A huge congratulations to all our athletes! |
