Happy FriYAY Team!

With a sea of Multisport Gold colours on the start line at Kirra parkrun on Saturday, we were ready to tackle this fast out & back course along the beautiful coast line! It makes me really proud that so many of our crew made the long journey down to Kirra to be part of our parkrun on Tour Series.

parkrun is such a huge part of our culture & it is surprising how many of us haven't run over a number of the various courses, so to be able to fly our colours and support parkrun is a really motivating way to spend the 1st Saturday of each month!

There was some great runs out there on Saturday, how good was it to give out encouragement as we past each other & watched as little groups of that special friendly rivalry started to develop!!

I do think the morning was capped off by a social gathering at Talle Creek afterwards where we could all enjoy some food, laughter, survival swimming & some beach games. In our very busy lives, we should feel so blessed that we can enjoy spending down time with our very special circle of friends, who are more than just training mates.

Lets do This,

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Number 7

Saturday 12th March

Multisport Gold parkrun on Tour #7 will see us venture up the Mountain to Tambo parkrun! This course is an interesting one, as it is run on a mixture of gravel & concrete paths, grass paddocks and bush trails. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain....Tambo has it all!! Don't be late as they start 7.00am sharp!!
In true Multisport Gold style, having our squad colours over the course will be another parkrun on Tour to remember!
With some amazing coffee shops at Tambo, we can smell the coffee already!

(So sorry for those racing Mooloolaba on that same weekend...there is so much on in the coming months its hard to find a weekend to suit everyone!)

Club Championship Series

The 2021-22 Queensland Triathlon Series {QTS} is now well under way and this is going to be the series we centre our Multisport Gold Club Championship on.

For those who want to be part of this Club Champs series, a few points to comply with:

  • Your results MUST be input into the form to the right, after each event.
  • You MUST be a member of Triathlon Queensland & MultisportGOLD.
  • You MUST wear squad kit whilst racing.
  • You MUST be smiling in all racing photos (LoL!)

The athlete with the highest score for the Queensland Triathlon Series will be awarded MALE AND FEMALE CLUB CHAMPIONS.

The Leader Board is updated after each race, so jump across to the Club Championship page on  the website to see the current Leader Board.

Nutrition

A very exciting new page has been added to our Multisport Gold Website this week!

Nutrition is such a critical part of our training, fueling, recovery & good health is something which all of us, as athletes, should take very seriously! We all spend hard earned dollars on our programs, our sessions, our equipment, and it is generally our nutrition which is neglected! In fact, it should be on top of our priority list!

A number of the Crew attended the Sports Nutrition Workshop with Nicole from Ascent Sports Nutrition, so not only does our newest page have a few delicious recipes to try out, it also has a link to Nicole's business for athletes looking for specific direction from a highly regarded Accredited Sports Dietitian.

Check it out team, it really is a great new feature. You can find it in the Teams dropdown bar!

Big thanks to our IT Guru Gordo!

Enjoy !

The Racing Buzz

Last Sunday, Trin was on the start for the gRUNt 10k fun run, which starts at the Seaway & is an out & back course  along the beautiful beaches! A huge congrats to Trin who was 4th across the line outright & the 1st female runner! Oh Trin, your on fire at the moment, well done!

Rd 5 of the SEQ trail Series was held last Sunday at Bunyaville, and a huge shout out to our Crew who raced!  Congrats to Erin, our Queen of the Trails as she placed 2nd female overall & 1st in her age group. Tim finished 2nd in his category, and Jezz who is on the comeback, raced so fast & come home with a 3rd place in his category! Well done guys, some super impressive racing !

This Sunday we have the beautiful Caloundra Tri taking place. Once again, MSGold will be really well represented at this popular community event. A shout out to those heading up, hopefully the waters in the Passage will be calm, the ride fast & a stunning run along the waterfront! #letsdothis
