Happy FriYAY Team!
I have been glued to the Winter Olympics over the last 7 nights, in absolute awe of the skill of these incredible athletes! LOL....and astounded how they can tolerate such cold conditions LOL
The vast array of sports on offer, cross country skiing, snow boarding, ice skating, slalom, Freeskiing, speedskating, aerials, the list goes on & on! And, the skill of these athletes, honestly, is incredible. The strength, balance, co-ordination, speed & power they generate, what they can do on the ice/snow, blows my mind.
Perhaps this is why I am so fascinated by the sports, it is so technical & precise in so many ways. Their sports are so different to swimming. riding, running, which seems to mundane in relation to what they do!
At the end of the day, SPORT is the big winner. The Winter Olympics has again opened our eyes to see outside the box of what we are accustomed to, that sport is there for all of us to enjoy, excel & make life long gains from.
So for the next few nights, you'll find me glued to the TV, soaking up the remaining events in these inspiring Winter Olympics of 2022.
Lets do This,
Alli |

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Number 7 |
| |
|
Saturday 12th March
Multisport Gold parkrun on Tour #7 will see us venture up the Mountain to Tambo parkrun! This course is an interesting one, as it is run on a mixture of gravel & concrete paths, grass paddocks and bush trails. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain....Tambo has it all!! Don't be late as they start 7.00am sharp!! In true Multisport Gold style, having our squad colours over the course will be another parkrun on Tour to remember! With some amazing coffee shops at Tambo, we can smell the coffee already!
(So sorry for those racing Mooloolaba on that same weekend...there is so much on in the coming months its hard to find a weekend to suit everyone!) |

A very exciting new page has been added to our Multisport Gold Website this week!
Nutrition is such a critical part of our training, fueling, recovery & good health is something which all of us, as athletes, should take very seriously! We all spend hard earned dollars on our programs, our sessions, our equipment, and it is generally our nutrition which is neglected! In fact, it should be on top of our priority list!
A number of the Crew attended the Sports Nutrition Workshop with Nicole from Ascent Sports Nutrition, so not only does our newest page have a few delicious recipes to try out, it also has a link to Nicole's business for athletes looking for specific direction from a highly regarded Accredited Sports Dietitian.
Check it out team, it really is a great new feature. You can find it in the Teams dropdown bar!
Big thanks to our IT Guru Gordo!
Enjoy ! |

We have plenty going on in the Land of Racing at the moment!
Last Sunday we had Caloundra Tri, and despite some nasty weather leading into the race, Sunday turned it on with sunshine, light winds & a calm sea! Congratulations to our Multisport Gold Team who raced, fantastic results from them all. Not long until Raby Bay & the final race in the QTS Series.
This Sunday is SEQ Rd 6 at Hinze Dam Trail Race, with Multisport Gold being represented in both the long & short distance! The trails at Hinze Dam are lovely, but also hard! To our Team out there, may you have light feet, stay upright & smash the descents!! Trin & Jezz, Tim & Erin, Kahori & Eiji, its time to #findit
After many months of solid training and early morning starts, we see Kath & Pete head to Geelong for the 70.3 event on Sunday. This is a great course, its hard, and fast, so if Mother Nature can turn on awesome weather, this is going to be another ding-dong battle between them both! We have seen all their hard work, so now its time to cheer them both on! So proud of you both #ownit |
