Happy FriYAY Team!

I was so excited to hear during the week of the new 70.3 Ironman Oceania destination of Hobart, Tasmania. What an incredible location for a 70.3 event, it really is going to be so iconic racing around some spectacular spots in Hobart.

I look back over all my years of racing, and one of the most memorable races for me was racing the last 70.3 event held in Auckland, New Zealand. Absolutely breathtaking course, the sights, atmosphere, cuisine & culture around this city was something I'll never forget.

Looking at the highlights of 70.3 Hobart, this race will be just like Auckland. The crispness of the water, the city, the countryside, the views & add in an indoor transition, & this is really a race worth considering.

We are so lucky to have so many races now opening up & offering us opportunities to spread our wings & travel again. Why not step into something exciting & new. I have no doubt Ironman will make this an inaugural event not to forget!

Lets do This,

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Number 7

Saturday 12th March

Multisport Gold parkrun on Tour #7 will see us venture up the Mountain to Tambo parkrun! This course is an interesting one, as it is run on a mixture of gravel & concrete paths, grass paddocks and bush trails. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain....Tambo has it all!! Don't be late as they start 7.00am sharp!!
In true Multisport Gold style, having our squad colours over the course will be another parkrun on Tour to remember!
With some amazing coffee shops at Tambo, we can smell the coffee already!

(So sorry for those racing Mooloolaba on that same weekend...there is so much on in the coming months its hard to find a weekend to suit everyone!)

Club Championship Series

The 2021-22 Queensland Triathlon Series {QTS} is now well under way and this is going to be the series we centre our Multisport Gold Club Championship on.

  • Your results MUST be input into the form to the right, after each event.
  • You MUST be a member of Triathlon Queensland & MultisportGOLD.
  • You MUST wear squad kit whilst racing.
  • You MUST be smiling in all racing photos (LoL!)

The athlete with the highest score for the Queensland Triathlon Series will be awarded MALE AND FEMALE CLUB CHAMPIONS.

The Leader Board is updated after each race, so jump across to the Club Championship page on  the website to see the current Leader Board.

Nutrition

A very exciting new page has been added to our Multisport Gold Website this week!

Nutrition is such a critical part of our training, fueling, recovery & good health is something which all of us, as athletes, should take very seriously! We all spend hard earned dollars on our programs, our sessions, our equipment, and it is generally our nutrition which is neglected! In fact, it should be on top of our priority list!

A number of the Crew attended the Sports Nutrition Workshop with Nicole from Ascent Sports Nutrition, so not only does our newest page have a few delicious recipes to try out, it also has a link to Nicole's business for athletes looking for specific direction from a highly regarded Accredited Sports Dietitian.

Check it out team, it really is a great new feature. You can find it in the Teams dropdown bar!

Big thanks to our IT Guru Gordo!

Enjoy !

The Racing Buzz

With Round 7 of the QTS unfortunately being cancelled due to the recent flood damage, the final results for the 2021-22 Season have been tallied & announced. After many months of hard training & consistency on the podium, we are so proud to have 2 of our Multisport Gold Crew on the podium! Jase changed categories & placed 2nd overall! Then super Mumma Kath finished in 3rd place in a super fast age category! Congrats to Jase & Kath on an outstanding series.

There is 1 race left in the MultiSport Gold Club Champions Series. Gold Coast Tri-Luke Harrop Memorial is worth Double Points, so lets support this awesome local race & get your team colours out on course!

Mooloolaba Triathlon is on this weekend, and wow, what a weekend it is going to be! We have a number of our Team heading up for this iconic race. With all the hard work done it is now time for these athletes to enjoy their taper, freshen & get excited about racing! The weather is looking perfect for the weekend. Its time to #findit Team
