Happy FriYAY Team!

There are some people we meet in life that we will always cherish the friendships we have made regardless of our lives evolving.

I meet Tara & Mick Woodcock 11 years ago when Mick's son was swimming at CAC. Mick came down onto the oval & enquired about the running group I had going on, which was one of the 1st MultiSport Gold track sessions!!!

It was from there I met his friend Tara, and then spent many years forming not only a strong coach-athlete relationship, but a forever friendship.

And over the years, so many athletes have come into our squad, and formed friendships & lifelong memories. Through the highs & lows, accomplishments & support, we continue to flourish.

Saturday afternoon on the beautiful backdrop of Mooloolaba beach, Tara & Mick confirmed their love for each other with a beautiful wedding ceremony. Not only was this a celebration of their love, it was also an occasion to share it with so many old & new friends from Multisport Gold.

The bond of friendships throughout the years has continued and it is times like this, being part of such an incredible circle of people, really does show the true meaning of lifelong friends who become such an important part of life.

I charge my glass to Tara & Mick, and the lifelong friends I've made through our Multisport Gold 'family'  xo

Lets do This,

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Number 8

Saturday 14th May

Multisport Gold parkrun on Tour #8 will see us venture to a course not many of us have done! Yarrabilba! The course is at Darlington Parklands, Yarrabilba & is run entirely on foot paths. It is a 3 1/2 lap course, run entirely in an anti-clockwise direction, with signage stenciled onto the paths.
For those looking for a 3.5km warm up, we will meet at Logan Village, on Waterford-Tambourine Rd at 6.15am. Then after parkrun, and easy jog back to the cars. From here, we will find a coffee shop (open to suggestions!! ) to regroup & swap run stories!

In true Multisport Gold style, having our squad colours over the course will be another parkrun on Tour to remember!
The Racing Buzz

The final round of the SEQ Trail series has been run & won, and we are so proud of our Trail Couple, Tim & Erin for their outstanding Series for 2021-22. These trail races are extremely competitive and the various terrains for each race means you have to be skilled & adaptable. Erin finished the Series in 2nd place overall female. Tim finished 3rd Male in his category.

Congrats to our Young Pocket Rocket Bowen who raced at Bribie Island on the weekend. He was on the start line in Open Males & amongst all the big hitters. Despite a nasty fall on the run, he brought it home in 8th place! Sensational racing Bo, mixing it the big boys & you certainly stood your ground! Well done :-)

This weekend we are represented by 3 of our athletes at the Noosa 50km Ultra Festival. This is a brand new event, and should be an amazing trail run through the National Park of Noosa & Tewantin. Very exciting times ahead for Tim & Erin, and 1st time in an Ultra is Coach Alli! Yes, there will be plenty of pics posted on our FB page of all the action, and post race hobbles LOL!

A shoutout to Jesse who will be on start line on Saturday for the Yandina 5-0! Jesse has been training so well, we know he is going to have an amazing race!

3rd April is Gold Coast Tri, back to its home location of the Broadwater. This is always an awesome squad & community race, so get your entries in & join in all the action! This is also the last race in our Multisport Gold Club Champs Series.....it is worth double points....gotta be in it to win it right :-)

Due to racing in Noosa, Coach Alli will be out of contact from Thursday 24th after swimming until Monday 28th PM. Thankyou for your understanding during this race prep.
