Happy FriYAY Team!
The Tri season of 2021-22 slowly draws to an end, with only a handful of races left on the calendar. This also means, our squad Club Champions Series has been completed, and it is so exciting to have this 1st Championships series so successful. Next season there will be a few more races, overl all distances, added into the Series so it will be another exciting Club Champs to all get pumped about!
Our Club Champion for 2021-22, as the Overall Champion, was Jason Gearing who completed 7 races! Jase finished up with 337 points....what an awesome achievement Jase. Wow!
Our Female Club Champion and 2nd overall was the Super Speedy Kath who had outstanding races in her 3 events. So dominate Kath, your amazing :-)
There is a listing of our Top 15 athletes on our Webpage, be sure to check it out & set your intensions for 2022-23 and how far up the ladder can you climb??

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Number 8 |
| |
|
Saturday 14th May
Multisport Gold parkrun on Tour #8 will see us venture to a course not many of us have done! Yarrabilba! The course is at Darlington Parklands, Yarrabilba & is run entirely on foot paths. It is a 3 1/2 lap course, run entirely in an anti-clockwise direction, with signage stenciled onto the paths.
For those looking for a 3.5km warm up, we will meet at Logan Village, on Waterford-Tambourine Rd at 6.15am. Then after parkrun, and easy jog back to the cars. From here, we will find a coffee shop (open to suggestions!! ) to regroup & swap run stories!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLDM1oeV23s...
In true Multisport Gold style, having our squad colours over the course will be another parkrun on Tour to remember! |

For 3 days at the start of this week, the Youth & Junior Super Sprint Series was on at Runaway Bay. This is an event run by Tri Queensland & Australia for Talented juniors & youth. It is 3 days of hard & fast racing, all leading into Finals on Day 3.
MultiSport Gold was proudly represented by our young Pocket Rocket Bowen and he certainly left it all out there over the 3 days with outstanding results over the 2 days of racing leading into the finals.
Bo raced in the A Final with boys older, taller, stronger than him, and of course, he put in 100% effort out there, finishing in an outstanding 3rd place in the Junior B.
Bo, we are all so proud of you and the strength and determination you draw upon each time you are on a start line. Huge congratulations :-)
High 5's to all our athletes who raced and participated in the Tour de Brisbane Cycling event last Sunday! Some fantastic results, and great race stories, a huge Kudos to all.
The Cooly Classic swim event schedule programmed for last Sunday, was postponed due to dangerous surf conditions. The event has been rescheduled for Sunday 24th April. |
