Happy FriYAY Team!
Being involved in any endurance event as a competitor, whether it be an Ultra marathon, cycle event or an Ironman // 70.3, is a highlight and achievement we can certainly be proud of, regardless of what the outcomes actually are. Knowing that we have put in 100% effort on this one particular day gives us that confidence that we can achieve all we set out to do.
However, most of what we achieve can not happen without those around us who continue to support our crazy addictions...oooppsss....goals!!! Friends, training buddies & most importantly, families. As athletes, we all have our ups & down, our good moods & foul moods, as well as our elation at great session or training week. We tend to take all those around us for granted as we carry on our journey towards our goals.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our supporters who are continually there for us. We are not easy to live with at times, however without our positive networks around us, none of this is possible.
Our Multisport Gold Crew who continue to write posts of encouragement, wisdom and banter...…having this very special bond and respect of and for each other, really does make a huge different throughout our prep, and mostly, on race day. Our Team on the side lines who cheer for us in all weather conditions, like Kahori & Eiji at Port last weekend, all make a huge difference & uplifting spirits when the times are really tough out there.
Yes, Triathlon may be an individual sport, but here within Multisport Gold, we certainly have an incredible TEAM to continually lift us higher.
A shout of Happy Mothers to all of our amazing Mums for Sunday, Mothers Day! I hope you all have very special days with your families and loved ones. .
Let's do This,
Alli |

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Number 8 |
| |
|
Saturday 14th May
Multisport Gold parkrun on Tour #8 will see us venture to a course not many of us have done! Yarrabilba! The course is at Darlington Parklands, Yarrabilba & is run entirely on foot paths. It is a 3 1/2 lap course, run entirely in an anti-clockwise direction, with signage stenciled onto the paths.
For those looking for a 3.5km warm up, we will meet at Logan Village, on Waterford-Tambourine Rd at 6.15am. Then after parkrun, and easy jog back to the cars. From here, we will find a coffee shop (open to suggestions!! ) to regroup & swap run stories!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLDM1oeV23s...
In true Multisport Gold style, having our squad colours over the course will be another parkrun on Tour to remember! |

Port Mac Ironman & 70.3 certainly has a highlight for many of us over the weekend, so rightly so with so many outstanding performances!
Our 70.3 representatives of Martin, Linda, Matty, Sharyn, Sally & the team of Liz & Davina, were all out there on course with a smile and huge commitment to get through the tough course. A huge KUDOS to you all, we were so excited to watch you all run down that red carpet.
Ironman racing always is a phenomenal event to witness, Nathan & Sara conquered the course last Sunday and can now proudly say they have completed one super tough course in Port Mac! Nathan was on the start line in his 1st Ironman event....and wowzer, what a race he had! We are so proud of you Nathan and congratulations on your achievement of becoming an Ironman.
Last Sunday we also had Trin compete in the Winter Whales, an open water event at Byron Bay. The surf was up (again!) and with some choppy conditions, Trin was on a mission to have an awesome swim. And that she did! She read the conditions perfectly and had an amazing swim, coming out with the lead swimmers and taking out a win in her age category! Well done Trin, you really are one tough athlete! |
