Happy FriYAY Team!

Team Work Makes the Dream Work. We all love coming together as a Team. And we all love watching our team mates make their dreams become reality too.

The feeling of Multisport Gold athletes together in a challenge with their team mates, is so motivating during the roller coater ride which is race prep! During training weeks & race day, having a little security blanket around our Team is somewhat reassuring that everything is going to be a success to us personally and collectively.

And just as importantly, are the supporters that get behind the athletes to lift them to another level when they thought it was not possible. To hear your name yelled out, to read sms messages and to hear the excitement coming from the side lines, honestly makes a huge difference on race day.

Over the years, Multisport Gold has prided itself in having a strong team at various races around the local area, the state and the country. Events like Mooloolaba, Kingy, Port Mac, Cairns & Busso....there is no where we haven't been and had successful campaigns.

So, I am putting it out there to athletes who are 100% committed to jump on the Port Mac Bus, grab a 1/2 Way or Round Trip ticket and lets make this our squad target A race for 2023.

There is already a number of our big hitters with entries, some 1st timers and plenty of whispers already about having an amazing support crew heading down to Port for 2023. There is also a teams category for those who want to participate but not over the complete race distances.

Having the team in this kind of environment is something which makes the finish line so incredibly special, and being able to share this journey with our training buddies and MultiSport Gold family, truly will make this an event we can all thrive on.

So I put it out there....who is in for 2023 Port Mac?

Let's do This,

Alli

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Number 8

Saturday 14th May

Multisport Gold parkrun on Tour #8 will see us venture to a course not many of us have done! Yarrabilba! The course is at Darlington Parklands, Yarrabilba & is run entirely on foot paths. It is a 3 1/2 lap course, run entirely in an anti-clockwise direction, with signage stenciled onto the paths.
For those looking for a 3.5km warm up, we will meet at Logan Village, on Waterford-Tambourine Rd at 6.15am. Then after parkrun, and easy jog back to the cars. From here, we will find a coffee shop (open to suggestions!! ) to regroup & swap run stories!

In true Multisport Gold style, having our squad colours over the course will be another parkrun on Tour to remember!
The Racing Buzz

Flirt with Dirt, certainly did live up to its name last weekend, with the runs & duathlons making for some very interesting racing through the mud & trails at Coombabah!  However, this is what Flirt with Dirt is all about, getting in amongst it & getting dirty!! A huge Congratulations to Kahori & Eiji who braved the conditions for the run on Sunday afternoon & walked away with 3rd place in their respective categories. Always so inspiring Kahori & Eiji, a huge congrats on your results.

A huge shout out to Jase & Sharyn who spent their time out on course over the weekend as Volunteers. Jase certainly has some very funny stories to share! A lot of these events can't go ahead without our wonderful Volunteers who give up their time, so THANKS to Jase & Sharyn for making this event run so smoothly!

Unfortunately another race scheduled for this weekend has been cancelled due to the rain :-(  Mary was using this race as a prep into Cairns 70.3, with her trusty training buddy Doug on the start line for the Club Distance. Onwards & upwards Mary & Doug.
