Happy FriYAY Team!

My gosh....how quickly does a week roll around! Good news is that is FriYAY which means the weekend is almost here....and time for training & socializing....yippee!

Last Saturday at Coomera parkrun, it was such a fun morning out for the team, running in the rain and plenty of slippery mud....I don't think there was any of us who weren't covered in mud....and I wont even mention Justin's finish line slide (insert rolling eyes emoji here!!) These are the kinds of runs which we look back at really do have a good laugh at.

And the chats after parkrun over coffee & breakfast, all radiated around Port 2023. It really have been an exciting week with our Ironman & 70.3 veterans & virgins hitting the enter button. The lure of being on the finish line next May and hearing "You are an IRONMAN" is certainly a individual and squad feeling which is too good to be missed. I am so proud of our group, we will be represented so strongly over both distances.

The experiences we will all share over the next 11 months are going to create life-long memories.

Let's do This,

Alli

Multisport Gold Take 2 parkrun on tour Number 8

Take 2 Saturday 4th June

Multisport Gold Take 2 parkrun on Tour #8 will see us venture to a course not many of us have done! Yarrabilba! The course is at Darlington Parklands, Yarrabilba & is run entirely on foot paths. It is a 3 1/2 lap course, run entirely in an anti-clockwise direction, with signage stenciled onto the paths.
For those looking for a 3.5km warm up, we will meet at Logan Village, on Waterford-Tambourine Rd at 6.15am. Then after parkrun, and easy jog back to the cars. From here, we will find a coffee shop (open to suggestions!! ) to regroup & swap run stories!

In true Multisport Gold style, having our squad colours over the course will be another parkrun on Tour to remember!
The Racing Buzz

We don't have any racing on the calendar this weekend, yes, very rare isn't it!! However, we do have 2 races on next weekend the Crew are in training for. The GC30 at Main Beach as well as Kingy Tri....2 great events falling on the same day! This does mean that training next week will be focused on short speed as a good number of the Crew prepare their tapers.

After these 2 events, we start into our Winter training block in prep for the 2022-23 season. Whilst winter is always cold & more difficult to train, this really is the most important time of the year where we focus on improving any weaknesses, building our strength & endurance so come the start of next season, we are ready to up the anti for racing. So don't make up excuses over winter....sure its cold....but nothing some concrete can't fix.

Upcoming Training Schedule
