Happy FriYAY Team!

As we transition from the Triathlon off season into the Running Season, it was absolutely delightful to see our Multisport Gold athletes out on course at the Noosa 1/2 Marathon on Saturday and then the GC30 Run Festival on Sunday!

We were represented in all distances at the GC30 Event, and our athletes all produced outstanding results, on a morning which was perfect for running!

Looking through the photos posted on various Facebook pages, seeing the Squad colours on show within the community really does show how proud we are to represent Multisport Gold.

As the run season starts to take off, lets be proud of who we represent & have our squad colours on display everywhere we go. Our squad has an excellent reputation within the community, it can be our focus over the upcoming run season to make our colours the most recognized out on course!!

Not only do we stand out to the community, but we also stand out to each other! And how motivating is it to have your team mates yelling out your name....spectators recognizing who you are amongst the crowds and knowing we are in this together!

There is still squad singlets, ladies crop tops & tee-shirts available for those who have entered races and don't have squad kit....or have squad kit which might need updating!

There is so much history and pride which has been created over the past 10 years!

I am excited for the upcoming run season and all that Multisport Gold is going to achieve, individually and as a united Squad.

Let's do This,

Alli

Multisport Gold Take 3 parkrun on tour Number 8

Take 3 Saturday 16th July

Multisport Gold Take 3 parkrun on Tour #8, keeping our fingers crossed, will see us venture to a course not many of us have done! Yarrabilba! The course is at Darlington Parklands, Yarrabilba & is run entirely on foot paths. It is a 3 1/2 lap course, run entirely in an anti-clockwise direction, with signage stenciled onto the paths.
For those looking for a 3.5km warm up, we will meet at Logan Village, on Waterford-Tambourine Rd at 6.15am. Then after parkrun, and easy jog back to the cars. From here, we will find a coffee shop (open to suggestions!! ) to regroup & swap run stories!

In true Multisport Gold style, having our squad colours over the course will be another parkrun on Tour to remember!
The Racing Buzz

Wow, Wow Wow! What a weekend of racing we have just had, and what magnificent weather (finally!) to ensure all our races were rewarding & enjoyable!

Lets start in Noosa with Trin competing in the 1/2 Marathon on Saturday. Trin had a fantastic run, sitting comfortably & consistently at a pace she plans to hold for her upcoming GCM marathon. She then backed up the following day for the open water swim which she said was very refreshing! Huge weekend Trinny, well done on your results.

Then back here on the Coast, we had the GC30 Run Festival were Multisport Gold was represented over all distances. Its always an awesome event and this year was no different, the community atmosphere certainly does make for a memorable event! In the 30km run, we saw Kahori, Matt P, JD, Michelle & Adrian all complete the course in fine form. So proud of you Team, a huge effort.  The 15km run is always extremely popular, so representing Multisport Gold over this course we had Jase, Alan, Len, Neill, Liz, Gordo, Ed, Andre! Congratulations on your efforts out there Team, great to see the Team doing so well.

This weekend we have Moreton Bay Tri where we are proudly being represented by Mitch who is making his return to racing! Emma who has been swimming with us is also dong the Club distance. We know both Mitch & Emma will be out there putting in their best efforts!

Upcoming dates dates to lock in :-)

Saturday 11th June Jase will be completing the Run Down Under challenge, this means over the past 6 years he has taken on the challenge to 'Run around Australia'.  This is such a huge achievement and it will be great to have Multisport Gold there to cheer him under the RDU Arch after parkrun.

Sunday 12th June there will be a squad run on at Griffith University Track. Meeting at 6.50am, heading out for a warm up at 7.00am sharp. There will be 2 programs on offer so everyone is welcome to come along. The plan is then to have a recovery swim at the Uni pool and breakfast afterwards.

More details will be on our Facebook page for both of these events during the week.
