Happy FriYAY Team!
Well, what a week we have had in the World of Multisport Gold! From the power outage at the pool on Tuesday morning where we swam in the dark....but it was a bit of fun & a swim we won't forget in hurry!
Then we had the 5oC temps on pool deck on Thursday! I can not recall, in my 10 years on pool deck, being so incredibly cold! Even with layers of thermals on, it was bitterly unpleasant, but that's a coaches life right....and it was so terrific to see some very loyal & committed swimmers! The steam coming off the pool was so thick, the pool temp was 28oC, so it was like a beautiful bath.
Then moving onto this Saturday, we have our very own, Multisport Gold Life Member, Jason Gearing, completing the epic journey around Australia with the Run Down Under Challenge! This has taken Jase 8 years to complete, learning so much about various Australian towns, landmarks, and regions along the way. It has been an incredible journey, and one in which I am hoping we will have plenty of the MultiSport Gold Team at Main Beach parkrun to celebrate this achievement with him.
Jase, your commitment, loyalty and attitude is always of the highest standard. You should be so proud of your achievement of completing over 14,000km, it is something so many of us are slowly chipping away it! Always the squad trail blazer!!! . #findit #ownit #letsdothis
Let's do This,

|
Take 3 Saturday 16th July
Multisport Gold Take 3 parkrun on Tour #8, keeping our fingers crossed, will see us venture to a course not many of us have done! Yarrabilba! The course is at Darlington Parklands, Yarrabilba & is run entirely on foot paths. It is a 3 1/2 lap course, run entirely in an anti-clockwise direction, with signage stenciled onto the paths.
For those looking for a 3.5km warm up, we will meet at Logan Village, on Waterford-Tambourine Rd at 6.15am. Then after parkrun, and easy jog back to the cars. From here, we will find a coffee shop (open to suggestions!! ) to regroup & swap run stories!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLDM1oeV23s...
In true Multisport Gold style, having our squad colours over the course will be another parkrun on Tour to remember! |

Mary, the work is done, its now time to have an incredible day on Sunday, all of your hard hours of training is going to pay off and we can't wait to cheer you across that finish line! its your time to shine #letsdothis
Last Sunday we were represented at the Bridge to Brisbane Fun Run by our Energizer Bunny, Liz! Liz has been running up a storm over recent weeks, adding this 10km run to her list of outstanding races! Huge congrats to you Liz! |
