WEEKLY GOLD TUFF STUFF

Happy FriYAY Team!

It seems like July is the month for Multisport Gold events!

2 weekends ago we had our Girls Day Out which was a huge success.

Then last weekend we had a hugely successful Multisport Gold Take 3 parkrun on Tour #8 to Yarrabilba! A small group of us arrived at Logan City early to run the Rail Trail which took us all the way to Yarrabilba parkrun. Greeting us at 6.59am on the start line was not only the awesome Yarrabilba parkrun Team, but so many of the Multisport Gold Team proudly in their kit ready to take on this new adventure around Yarrabilba! And wow, what a run it was! Despite must of us almost frozen in the 6oC temps, we soon warmed up as we scooted our way around the 4 laps undulating course! Such a great atmosphere for us all!

Of course, we headed off for breakfast afterwards, where the café was quaint, the food hot & the laughter loud! Thanks to all our Team how ventured out to Yarrabilba, it is certainly a run we will do again!

Then, this weekend we have Coomera parkruns 10th birthday celebrations! I can still remember that 1st parkrun all those years ago, meeting lifelong friends and so many incredible runs & memories over those years.

Gosh I love the community spirit and positive vibe, it truly is uplifting on so many levels. Perhaps what I love about parkrun the most, is it is for everyone! No matter what age, athletic ability, size or shape, nationality or culture, its about bringing families & the community together, and each week we are welcomed by the amazing parkrun Team.

I look forward to seeing our team out on our home course, celebrating on Saturday morning!

Let's do This,

Alli

Entries for the 2022-23 Queensland Triathlon Series are now OPEN and this is going to be the series we center our Club Championship on. This season, we also have the inclusion of a few of our favourite local events as well as long course options as well, so it is a series well & truly wide open!

The Racing Buzz

Whilst there is not much racing happening this weekend, we do have The Guzzler in Brisbane on Saturday morning. This is one knarly course, over 2500m of elevations, many technical sections and those trail runners with excellent skills are out there tackling this one! A shout out to our awesome Alan Alan Alan for a safe, strong & thoroughly enjoyable race! We can't wait to hear the stories of this 50km Ultra adventure!!

Multisport Gold parkrun on tour Number 9

SATURDAY 20th AUGUST

We have travelled all over the countryside with our parkrun on Tour adventures, and shared so much fun together, its now time to make #9 local with Gainsborough Greens!
Most of us have run this course so know it is flat, fast & a great course to target a pb!
In true Multisport Gold style, having our squad colours on course will be another great parkrun on Tour to remember!
There is a number of choices we have locally for post run breakfast & coffee, so lets do this Team!
