WEEKLY GOLD TUFF STUFF

Happy FriYAY Team!

The wonderful world of Technology! Could we live without it? In this day & age, I highly doubt we could make it through a few days without phones, iPads, PCs, Strava and ..... we certainly could not live without Zwift LOL LOL!!!

Last Sunday with very miserable weather resulting on our Brick session being cancelled, having so many of us now having Zwift at home, we were able to log in & get our long rides done. Some of the Crew managed to jump onto a Group Ride run by a Japanese cycle group and smash out their 100kms! I was able to also jump onto a ride called the Dutch Diesel Cycling from California with riders from all over the world! Isn't Zwift the most amazing piece of technology, when we can ride & communicate with cyclists from all over the word, different countries, different time zones and all experience enjoyable & challenging rides.

If we look back 5 and 10 years, only the dedicated ones would've been wurring away in the garage on the wind trainer, burning black rubber from the back tyre, totally bored and having no idea of kms ridden or watts outputted.

Not only were we able to ride together, but because of technology, we were also able to chat, support, encourage, brag and sledge each other on the group chat page after our rides! All with a few hits of some buttons, and we are all in communication with each other!

We do take all of this granted and never really give technology a second thought most of the time. Keeping us connected and active regardless of the situation, really is such another positive element as we continue to move forward as a Team.

Let's do This,

Alli

The Racing Buzz

Of course we have our amazing World 70.3 Champs over in Utah preparing to race on Friday and Saturday. It is all getting super exciting and I know we have out our Green & Gold Pompoms to cheer with and our loudset voices to sceram at the screens with!  Aussie Aussie Aussie!

Thanks to all those Multisport Gold members, friends & families who came out to Coomera parkrun on Saturday to give Kath & Bangers their send off! So wonderful to see our colours mixed in with the Green & Gold!  #wearefamily

The biggest triathlon in the Southern Hemisphere is on this Sunday, yes, how quickly has Noosa Tri come around! This is such an iconic event and is always a highlight on the racing calendar! Shout out to our representatives in Martin, Linda, Dorian and Emma. Coach Alli is going up this year in the capacity of a Technical Official and will be out on the bike course as a draft buster! Watch out all you drafters LOL LOL!

This Sunday is Ultra Trail Australia down in Katoomba, north west of Sydney, NSW. We are represented by Michelle who has had a great prep leading into the extremely challenging race. This is a bucket list event for so many trail runners, so go hard out there Michelle!

Multisport Gold Take 2 parkrun on tour Number 11

Saturday 12th November

Our parkrun on Tour #10 to Mudgeeraba was cancelled and relocated due to flooding, so lets head back to Mudgeeraba for our Tour #11. Mudgeeraba is such a pretty course, it is fast and flat, so this is a great venue to try for a pb!

Of course there will be breakfast afterwards.

Details for a warm up jog will be posted as we get closer to the date.

2022-2023 Squad Champions Series

MultisportGOLD is all about community and encouraging members to push (safely) individual limits and become stronger athletes.

This year we’re modifying the rules around the Club Championship to more fully acknowledge the commitment and effort required by all MultisportGOLD athletes in getting to the start line and completing any one of the event categories below. So it doesn't matter if your a triathlete, or a runner, this series is inclusive for us all! With the Triathlon season commencing as of 1st July 2022, start logging your race results & parkruns now.

Points can be earnt in ALL triathlon AND run distances, so enter your favourite races and be on the start line at parkrun each week!

It is super easy to log your points. Just head to the Website, click on the Teams Drop Down box and find Club Champs. Simply fill in the tabs and you are on your way!
