WEEKLY GOLD TUFF STUFF

Happy FriYAY Team!

After a huge week of racing last week with Pan Pacs and then Robina Tri on Sunday, it has been nice to catch up with those athletes who raced and to hear about their races & results. Each and every one of them has been so thrilled with their outcomes.

One of the things a number of our athletes have commented on, and myself is included here as well, is the incredible support shown by our team mates over these days of racing. We had Neill heading to the final day of the Pan Pacs to cheer on Trinny, Jezz & Rikki. Neill had plenty of action shots and post race photos of smiles & bling to share with the crew.

Then for Robina, we had Eiji & Kahori (with Taro & Hanako) on the sideline cheering, screaming, waving our banner and lifting our energy levels with each lap. We also had Rikki and her 3 youngsters under our tent proudly yelling out names and words of support to our entire team. And Liz was our official cheer squad & photographer at the far end of the course.

Whilst there was plenty of other support over the days of racing which we are all so grateful for, I would really like to extend a huge thankyou to those who took time out of their Sunday to don on their squad colours and raise their voices. It means so much to those racing, and it is this squad spirit which really does racing in the Multisport Gold colours so rewarding!

With plenty of races coming up over the coming weeks & months, lets be out their supporting & encouraging each other to keep our spirits soaring.

Let's do This,

Alli

The Racing Buzz

Last week over 4 days we had the Pan Pacs Masters Games where Trin & Jezz and Rikki all competed in the Athletics Long Course running events. Over 4 days our champions raced hard and fast, with each event seeing them with more bling! A huge congratulations to the girls who both outright won their categories. Outstanding racing, and you certainly have some of the crew contemplating the event in 2023 :-)

Sunday we then had Robina Tri which is a Double points race in our Club Champs Series. The day certainly did throw the heat & wind our way as the morning progressed, however that did not dampen the spirit of our Team racing. So many outstanding results. Alan had a cracking run, 2nd fastest run split in his category which is awesome! Doug completing his 1st OD race, and Jase back racing again. 3rd place podiums for Steve & Sharyn, with Phillip, Kate, Marion & Coach Alli taking out age group wins.

This weekend, the racing doesn't stop! We have Sharyn heading up to Hamilton Island for the beautiful yet hard Sprint distance race around the Island. This truly in one of the most incredible sprint distance races on the calendar, so we wish Sharyn an awesome race and plenty of frivolities afterwards!

Kingy is also on this weekend with Marion & Phillip heading to the start line. They will be on fire backing up from Robina last weekend. Sally is also on the start line for the sprint distance, and after being unwell we hope she has a fun race!
